I Was Blown Away When I Understood This About Time

Is time a straight line, leading from the past to the future? Is it a circle, moving endlessly in cycles? Or is it all an elaborate illusion?
These questions may seem philosophical and irrelevant to our busy lives, but how we view time (or timelessness) creates the foundation for how we see the world, our place in it, and whether we suffer needlessly or flow peacefully in this eternal present moment.
In today's KZbin video, I talk about time beyond the memory and imagination of our brain. I talk about how we can step out of our head, step out of our clinging mind, step outside of time, and surf the waves of presence.

Todd, you should get yourself a mentor/ teacher to learn about yogi or buddhism. What you are sharing are exactly what are being taught in the yogi and buddhism practise. Thank you for sharing. Live at the present.

In answer to your first question: Terrance Howard has apparently unlocked the puzzle of the Tree Of Life by eliminating All Straight Lines. This really Blew My Mind!! Joe Rogan had something about this, and I had to check Terrance Howard much more thoroughly. So many questions are answered and even proof of God, Creator, etc. It almost makes one wish to shout it from the rooftops.

This talk pairs well with the opening lessons of the ACIM workbook. Memory, meaning, thoughts... these all weave together to created the tapestry of illusion. And the interesting point to note is that they operate within us, not without.

THANKS! for sharing your reflections, we all need to reflect by ourselves and find our life in the present time. Eventually, I think, we all have the opportunity to see REALITY as magic as it is. Namasté

We lived poised in the here and the now, between being and becoming as part of the infinite now moment. A dynamic equilibrium we remain balanced, adapting to the changing times. I believe the soul is actually our connection to eternal existence itself. It is that is-ness which always remains and which we always are.

Yes thanks Todd. We're on the same wavelength for sure. Yes, the past is an illusion; so is the future. So is the present. Time is the illusion that makes us human so its difficult to live without it. But I'm enjoying trying to. I feel like ive been set free. Cheers, bro.

my memories are almost all(truly) traumatized and continuously wounding; added to it, relentless in the moment, traumas… i am quite frankly failing.. everywhere i look, there is a trigger for me, and additionally, all my cultivating efforts are being met with exceptionally unbalanced souls… it is verrry dark for me, presently..

“and we won’t get fooled by our gains and loses affecting us”…. TODD… this is huuuge.. what a brilliant statement to forewarn us that we are NOT our circumstances, no matter how tied to them, we appear to be.. my soul is an infinite observer… apart from the treachery and bleakness.. i will find my way through this maze of fright presenting as facts.. i will prevail..

Perhaps a reason for the strong illusion of memory is that we only can only share our memories with other humans. (For example, a library.) Can we share this experience of the ‘peaceful present moment’ with another? We point the way with words, actions, works of art.. and videos :). Memories of elders has had an important place in our cultures for millennia. Eventually, both memory and the present moment timelines can coexist together in peace.

🤔 Get it and don't get it. Like you/he said 'memory helps us remember the where the water hole is over the hill" Also looking in the future I remember I need twice as much water for today for example. I do get too much remembering in the past or future can make a train wreck in our head. So everything in moderation. And clear the mind from useless chatter. Think it's sinking in🤔

Iunno about that. Counter point why does everything I own still exist and show it's age. I suppose it is possible that all of this exists on a unrealistic plane of existence, that is entirely possible but why live your waking life that way? Seems potentially destructive and dismissive of something you may be trying to build for.
