When gems are bubbled, they are put into a kind of stasis. Time doesn't pass for them, and if they're unbubbled, they come out at the exact moment they were poofed. It's a little different than being in jail, where time is passing for you.

Also would make sense since when Steven bubbles food it doesn’t expire. It stays in the same condition as if you had just bubbled it.

A few things! - The Kindergarten Kid is intentionally a reference to the Wile E Coyote and Roadrunner Looney Tunes cartoons - I wish you included the Sugilite part from Know Your Fusion! Sardonyx says "she's not actually in this episode do we still have to pay her", referencing how Niki Minaj voices Sugilite. Also the clips she shows say "footage courtesy of cartoon network" on the bottom, which is funny. - The mural in the journal is from the season 1 episode "Serious Steven". As for the palanquin...think back to "The Answer"!

It *is* awful what the Crystal Gems have to do when it comes to the corrupted gems. I'll refer you back to Pearl's speech in Ocean Gem, though. It's heavily implied that the process of corrupting is painful and that remaining corrupted is equally so. Their minds are in a state of sheer disarray, broken by complete terror and left with only an instinct to survive. Meanwhile when gems are bubbled, they're in a form of stasis. They don't feel any pain. They don't feel anything good either, but as Steven had found out for himself, there's not a way they know to heal the corruption. So it's generally safer for the corrupted gems and everyone else for them to remain in bubbles. It's heartbreaking work for the Crystal Gems to do. These were their friends in a lot of cases. And now...

Pearl's reaction to Smoky Quartz in 4 x 1 makes a lot of sense the more I think about it as she was the one who was unsure if Steven could fuse with other gems back when he fused with Connie in Alone together.

kindergarden kid is just a casual reminder that peridot is still growing as a person and isnt perfect. also her metal bending has really come along! also i wouldnt say rose was cruel. impulsive, naive, even a little too secretive, but she was just trying to do her best with a shitty situation. seeign garnet so excited to meet smokey is always a win! buts its interesting to see smokey carrying the insecurities of both steven and amythest and the tradition of garnet fusions getting carried away. "Its not about us!" i want a pack of lions :( wonder when our lion turned pink? also, buddy knew the crystal gems? also its prunoucned pal-an-keen :P please take good care of yourself!

19:08 That was in the episode 8 season one, it appeard inside the pyramid for a fraime when Steven was looking around and noisy like "WOOAAAH!" I can't tell you more because it's spoilers but think about what you said earlier: why there aren't corrupted Gems on Homeworld? Remember also the episode when Steven take Lapis to visit some places on Earth and then we have the flashback. Think about that light and its colours. I can't tell anything else. Remember this in the future, everything will be explained 😉

Know Your Fusion is probably my least favorite episode. I couldn’t figure out how not a single part of Sardonyx was able to see how uncomfortable she was making Smoky or why they formed Sardonyx just to talk to Smoky in the first place considering Garnet and Pearl’s complicated history with fusion to begin with. Idk it just didn’t sit right with me.

Yus!! So excited about this! Ok so 1)There are no corrupt Gems in Homeworld.There’s a reason for that but...SPOILERS. XD 2) a palanquin (or litter) was used back in the day to carry important ladies or royalty and usually men would carry it around. That one just had legs...kinda like a spider. 3) I read your update earlier today. Please take care of yourself. Take time off and don’t get burned out. We’ll be here for you for when you come back.
