This street system is actually easy. The middle is green or red for the tram. It gives you the chance to change the platform, if you are on the wrong platform, until the tram comes. Also sometimes there is only one platform with tracks on both sides but this is more expensive because of the fences etc. The Red lights at your side and on the opposite side of the middle is just for cars, people and bikes. And it costs so much time because you need long 'cleantimes' on these big crosses.

The traffic light system is like that because the trains are passing thru the middle part. If there isn't a train you don't have to wait. So the traffic light shows green.

The Christmas markets in Southern Germany are made with much more love in my opinion. The "Nürnberger Christkindl Markt" is according to a lot of Germans and tourists the best one. Also there a lot of middle aged themed Christmas markets here where everything is hand made by the people who own the stores.

In Berlin the green and red guys on the traffic lights are pretty special because it still is the old east-german design that remained after the reunification as many citizens wanted to keep it. Now it has become some kind of buisness with companies selling bags, t-shirts and candles with that "Ampelmännchen". Also interesting is that there are several traffic lights saying "STOP MEAT" on red and "GO VEGAN" on green as there is a huge vegan community in Berlin. nice video btw 😍

The green way between two reds is for Trams. They arrive in the middle when cars are driving but many as the cars so the middle is longer green :)

Look de trafic light works on this way, the licht in de middle is for trams, the other 2 are for the passing cars. If there no trams the tradfic light will be green. I hope u understand. When you in amsterdam you are gonna see this very often. Have a nice day!

At the traffic lights you are supposed to go up to the one that is signaling green in front of you, but only the direct one, not the one beyond that, and that is done due to tram and car traffic beeing handled seperate.

The traffic lights are weird like that because they are in east Berlin. There are no trams in west berlin, so they dont have that confusing light in the middle

The Trick with traffic lights is just to walk on if there's no car in your way. Even when it's red. When it's red, just look left and right before crossing the road.

Concerning the traffic system (2:50) : The middle part is green, bcs the ppl, who (theoretically) are staying on the first little island can already go to the next one. That way you don't get a mess of ppl, who are staying on 1 island at the same time, but it's a better system to spread the ppl on (at least) 2 islands.

Did you ate a Döner? They are really tasty. And we have on traffic light for one lane. Because (in the streat you showed us) in the middle lane moved the Tram (Streat Train) and the other lanes are for cars. The cars and the trams (streat trains) dont move on the same time, so we must build this traffic lights.

The road you are crossing has another traffic-light in the middle because of the Tram ("Street-train" I guess?). The one in the middle turns red when a train is coming. The outside ones are for the normal traffic. Funfact: If you visit Berlin again in summer, you can actually "walk" straight down on the Park Inn (strapped to a cable of course, but its really funny!) There is also Baseflying from that hotel.
