Arslan has also done Knee dirty and disrespected him during a Tekken 8 exhibition only match, where the coward pounded Knee like it was a big pro competiton to humiliate him. He is rude and unsportsmanlike AF. I can't stand arslan ash because of this REPEATED bad behavior. All this info is on video, and if you dig, you can find all the evidence for yourself. I really laughed when, in that tourney with the Noctis student, and after making his rude, dismissive remark about Phi to the student, the student beat his A55 too and served him up a dose of karma.

Admitting to your weaknesses and faults is too difficult for a lot of people to do. (Where can I improve? Where am I wrong?) Reliably and effectively using skills in front of a crowd is difficult. (Tournaments) Analyzing what your weaknesses and where you're ignorant of certain things in your area of specialization IN FRONT of other people takes a lot of humbleness and a lot of confidence. (Coaching/Being coached) Taking the time to share that journey and share the knowledge you're obtaining with the general public is incredibly generous. (KZbin videos/Streaming sessions) None of that is the mentality of a failure. It's absolutely the mentality of someone who can become genuinely great at what they do. Keep it up, man.

Good analysis Phi. I like that you mentioned the FC into AOP duck from that first game with PLing. One thing I wanted to add here, is that if Xiaoyu is in Full Crouch, pressing d1+2 to get AOP actually first puts her into AOP down automatically. So, instead of AOP > AOP~d , you can do FC > AOP~d . In the case of this video, you hit him with Lili df+3 which auto puts the opponent into crouching status, so if Ling stays in FC and enters AOP they get the aop d level evasiveness.

@Velindian 7 ай бұрын
@@AnimeUniverseDE More like social media was made to generate focus on making connection and profiting off of that. Which had the side effect of poking and prodding at specific aspects of human psychology that most people have not trained resilience for. The disconnect many people have online given they aren't in person creates a more harsh environment. An environment which most people are not prepared to deal with due to how they are raised (in society in general). Thus a lot of people are more effected negatively than they should be. It goes both ways though. Being praised too much online can lead to an inflated ego in many. Both too much hate and too much love can be poison to those not ready to handle such things. The real question is if someone being online makes it necessary to be prepared for it. I'd argue it is, but not everyone has the luxury of an upbringing that makes them as resilient as they need to be to deal with the hate some can share. Good thing as humans we can always adapt. Making excuses is the worst thing you can do as it solves nothing, and the disconnect from leaving an online space may not be an option for some.

As a Xiaoyu main since T3... you are more than capable. The way i read your performance here was nerves. It looks like you were frusrated/mentally accepting your loss in Sanctum. You were throwing a lot of lows fishing for damage, especially on his whiffs. To be fair now, he was VERY conscious of his spacing, and in fact I would go as far as to say the spacing was driving his fight more than anything. That sounds dumb- of course spacing is in play at this level, but it was almost like, rather than going for setups he knew you weren't answering, he would opt for whatever it was in that given frame that would leave him safe. It was entirely dictating his choices. Ling hates range 0 (we cant set up any cool 6-part fake-outs, which is what gets us going more than anything and why we get out of bed in the morning). And its why Great Wall is our best friend :) I think you would have benefited a lot from more lateral movement, and u+3+4 is a solid answer for range 0 AOP (almost no Ling is going to be able to roll laterally in reaction like that, or roll forward, and all we can do is stand into instant guard, also very unnatural for most Lings, ironically).

I don't get the part at 8:30. She ducks your throw attempt. That is not Ling specific. Also why do you talk about df1 after, when you attempted to throw?

Instead of throwing I should've gone mid, and I should've chosen a mid that would hit AOP

@@PhiDX I see. Keep up the good work! And fwiw I think that being one of the best Tekken content creators is worth more than winning tournaments. It requires you to be very good at the game AND at making content. You have become an important corner stone of the community and I have learned a lot from your videos 👍

Seeing the initial bullet points, I was worried about ling hate. But the video was greatly organized and explained the exact mental and direction you need to fight the character. Great video!

It’s pretty funny how to all the newcomers especially since the release of Tekken 8 people seem to see PhiDX as more of a content creator than an actual pro Tekken competitor.

Just main Steve he’s cracked now lol. All jokes aside it’s good to see you rewatching your losses and analysing why you lost. Hope you get to apply your findings next time you fight Pling.

Your plan was designed to fight another player not Xiaoyu. When you try F,4 (against her) it must be at mid-close distance thinking in a counter hit situation (so she can't sidestep or react). I only uses it (as attack against Xiaoyu) when she is in trasitioning from stand to a stance position or whe she crouch, but you have very few frames to react. I saw very few punishing moves on your side, so that is an area that you could improve.

Phi - there’s nothing wrong with being a content creator imo. In fact, it’s preferable than being a “pro” gamer especially financially in the long-run.
