Ok that's it, I'm done with porn, I hate being weak, I hate not having a girlfriend, I hate looking at women with lust, starting now I will no longer be a slave to porn. I hate not being confident, I want to change and I'm going to change, wish me luck and I wish luck to those who are going through the same thing and is ready to change, God bless you Lucid you've lit the fire in me again Edit: hey thanks for all the likes and support guys I must admit that I fell multiple times recently after something that that happened that I'd rather not talk about. I was around 2 months clean but I fell back into it. I finally came to adress the elephant and ask myself the question right after finishing, instead of rushing to self hatred and post nut clarity regret attack, I asked myself, why was I willingly doing something I hate doing, after dozens if not hundred of times, wasn't the choice to stopping sincere, how much is it going to take me to just, not just stop, but not consider doing this to myself, I hated this hypocrite cycle of failure, and that's it, failure is meant to be learnt from, not to be ashamed of, only angels don't make mistakes, and that's where it clicked, I never tried to look where I emotionally needed help instead of beating myself because of how indesciplined I was, I realised something, I don't go out with friends, don't socialize, don't have something going on or hope to something, I was basically emotionally deprived, and its interesting how everytime I jumped to this habit, was after a certain sense of loneliness, That I unconsiously I wanted to escape asap from, and what could be better than hijacking the most instantly rewarding system, that's it, I came to adress it, it was a coping method for me to numb my helplesness with life, you're probrably seeing things through a blurred lense, listen to your body, urges only mean that you're a functioning as a man, but uncontrollably responding to them, means you're emotionally in need.

The saddest part of pornography is the number of people I see who are compulsively encouraging others to fap and watch it. You know, looking at it from my perspective, it is pretty much a drug attached to your body. You don't need money, effort, hard work or anything to actually fulfil this evergrowing desire as all it takes is a single thought, and a few minutes and just like that, you've accomplished nothing. This entire topic is usually swept under the rug, and more people are normalising this habit rather than trying to prevent it. My own PDHPE teacher would classify this habit as a "normal and healthy way to relieve stress", and the next thing you know, you have half the class addicted. Even in science class back in years 7 and 8, my teachers encouraged it. Even though I don't blame them entirely, it's still partly their fault as that moment I heard my elderly science teacher classify a habit i thought was disgusting as usual just led me to my very own downfall, which I am struggling to recover from. Like lucid said, you can't run away from problems as it will only make the problem bigger. Find the root cause and tear that to shreds; otherwise, good luck because your most certainly going to need it.

@@ItsJustTech Well. You just need to find the exact reason as to why you keep relapsing and make sure to eliminate it completely rather than just letting it grow. It was just a figure of speech which illustrates how the root cause should be dealt with. You sound a lot like me. I remember working at Panda Express at 17 and for the life of me couldn’t speak normally to people, I was shot down and referred to as having a “school shooter vibe” by the alpha people or socially adequate working at the time. To face this seemingly insurmountable inferiority I started reading my ass off and keeping a poem journal. I loved hip hop and was bad at writing and wanted to get better, soI just started building a résumè of writing and soon a rapport was easier to establish with my coworkers. The topic of porn is an entirely different issue and has ruined my self-esteem in multiple relationships. I’m turning 21 and haven’t jacked off since oct. 30th. Through meditation and not allowing myself around my usual triggers, this is the longest I’ve been clean probably since 8th grade or something. You just have to accept your starting from the bottom and take baby steps across the hot coals. Love yourself, your probably still young, it’s never to late to turn your awkwardness around. My nofap journey of 3 years has been very life changing. My only purpose to start nofap was to become as smart and physically powerful as possible. Everyday I used to read about 150 pages of any book which took me 3 hours of reading and understanding. Then, exercise for 4 hours continually and pushing myself to the hardest level. Then have some time to play chess for half an hour and study Mathematics and physics. I feel like the next version of human being(superhuman). Literally, there is no problem that I have faced after all of this. My only goal was to see how much better I can be in every single area of life. With that being said, I pray 5 times and have some time to concentrate and understand my religion Islam in depth. All of these achievements and habits make me 1% in human population. Finally, now I feel better.

Bro, Lucid, this video really changed my life. After 3 years of failing and having flimsy attempts like "nofap motivational videos", I finally made up my mind to come across the fucking weed that's been hiding deep in there, the pain I was hiding from into even more pain. Man, this is eye-opening, literally. I finally freaking made the realization of what was the root cause of it all. Guys, I really recommend that you take on this journey of meditation, or whatever it is that will get you to the answer: introspective thinking, questioning yourself, you name it. I was too lazy to spend some time with myself so I ended up with clarity the hard way. 30 hours of porn, shame and disgust later. Believe that you will find the weed, and pull the shit out of it. This is as real as it gets. Stop trying to find ways around it. It won't work if you make attemps you yourself know ain't gonna work. You will at last find a deep sense of assurance, and then you'll know you can draw a straight line below this experience, and learn something out of it. God bless you all!

the bit i dont understand is once you know the root cause what do you do with it. Like Lucid said "rip it to shreads" but what does he actually mean like practically?
@darknuance_ix3 жыл бұрын
@@ItsJustTech You must practice undoing what caused those feelings. For example, if your root comes from the pain of what others did to you, then you must practice forgiveness, to yourself, and to others. All you need to overcome this is within you.

Thanks Lucid for this video Bro. I got really emotional just by watching it and seeing how most of us, me included have a wrong mindset about solving problems. Thanks for clarifying that we always need to look further into ourselfes. Many of us don't do this as much as we should do it. But when we do it, we will see the benefits of it because we get ourselves known much better. We understand why we do what we do. We understand why we are in our life where we are. And last but not least: We understand why we are here on earth and what our task is. I really apreciate the hard work you put in your videos. They are helping me a lot on my way on getting to another level of conciousness. These videos are just pure GOLD, because of the massive value you bring us guys here on KZbin who have to deal with certain addictions. Please never stop with this : )

I have never masturbated. It doesn't seem right and never has to me. Sexual intimacy is something I only want to share with my spouse and that too out of love. I think acts like masturbation literally take away people from "haqiqah" (reality). I never thought indulging in self-pleasure would be so common among the youth, especially men - until I got to know about it a couple of years ago. I feel masturbation and continuously watching pornography goes against the sanctity of true love and to the very institution of marriage. Semen is tahir (pure) when released for the woman you love, and that too within the confines of marriage only. It literally creates life! Alex introspects really well and this analogy was really well presented. Kudos to Alex for being so brave in opening about this and inspiring people to quite this horrendous act of self-pleasure. It takes a lot of guts!

You are lucky man! Many wish they had never started, but with the internet it preys on people from a young age when they don't know any better! Then it becomes a challenge to stop. That being said, remmember that we are all tested and face struggles that are unique to ourselves! So his adivce can also be applied to other similiar vices and addictions which many people struggle with. Hence even if you do not struggle with masturbation, you should reflect on your own life to eliminate vices of any kind.

I usually bounce my leg, fidget with things on my desk, or respond to messages while watching videos on KZbin. I'm not sure if I have ADHD, or if my attention span in general was starting to deteriorate due to how modern media is presented, but this video... This video made me completely still.
