Yeah exactly. Lance can easily be a credit to the community and the sporting world at large if he explains the ins and outs of getting around the system with doping, so we could possibly avoid or catch future cheaters. Coz who would know better than him right? This was an amazing interview! Great to see Lance being candid like that!

@@bigtasty8401 I was referring to the incident when Armstrong reported on Tyler Hamilton for doping after Tyler refused to let him win some race. Bryan Fogel is one amazing human being. I have huge respect for this guy, big respect. Not too shabby an athlete either👍👍 As far as Lance goes, “cheating”, drugs, megalomania, all that, whatever, bottom line, the man is still a once in a generation athlete. During his years of domination, all of the top level riders were doping, without a doubt. Lance did it better and his underlying athleticism is beyond comprehension. The record books may have an asterisk on his years of competition, but the truth and reality is he won and won and won and won.

That has to be the biggest joke in history. If ever there was a sport more reliant on PED's and especially EPO it's swimming. Coming up for one less breath is often the difference in many races. If I jump in with more red blood cells I don't have to breathe as much. There's a reason they are huffing and puffing before they jump in. They are oxygenating their red blood cells.

Lance knows you cannot be an elite champion without performance enhancing drugs. He even admitted it (in the 30 for 30 series) when he first went to Europe he wasn't even near the best guys at the end of races. At the time lance thought he was at his best. (Naturally) He then new if you "don't dope you cant cope". I am a supporter and will continue support lance, without him cycling wouldn't be where it is today. People watch sport to get the best entertainment... Why not let these elite gladiators dope the house down? Their body their choice. We give these athletes stigma for using drugs to be better at their jobs but most of society are hypocrites. Most people abuse stimulants , painkillers, nootropics etc just to go earn their salary at a normal job. Society lacks perspective. Great interview. 😎

I understand Fogel's incentive and impetus to do the film from an intuitive point of view and also from a scientific perspective- in an attempt to make the science of doping control falsifiable. However I do not understand Grigory's incentive to take the venture on. He knew they were swapping urine and not testing for certain substances. its not a falsifiability study for him- he had insider knowledge doping control was bullshit in the case of the Russians. - I just can't understand how he nearly risked his life to tell the truth about something he was not only complicit in but a scheme he actively participated in. I can't understand how Grigory is so clever and did something that is so not in his interests.

The movie is nice and I like this podcast but there is 1 thing that I really hate on Icarus and this specific episode. Just because you dope doesn't mean no one NOT on drugs can't race faster as you do!!! I raced HR Ventoux in 2017 and finished 9th or 10th overall, 100% clean. Not even vitamin supplements! I could have done way better with a little more training but I'm working, I have tow kids and I primarily enjoy my life. I'm over that point where cycling was all in my life. I'm far from lean. I'm 185cm tall and weigh 80-82kg. I'm far from pro level. My FTP dropped more then 10% since I retired and I weigh about 10kg more now. NOT pro level. I find it a shame, BF is suggesting anyone is on drugs on those races. Sure thats wrong. Very very wrong.
