Your briyani looks awesome 😋. So proud of you both. For maximum fragrance from saffron, I would suggest you soak a few strands of saffron in a little bit of water before adding it to the rice. Also in addition to the pickles, briyani goes very well with salsa. If you are interested, I can share the recipe with you. Let me know.

You can just cook the curry in your "japaness pot", so you dont need to transfer it into another pot. Even in my house, we use electric rice cooker, we modify the rice cooker to stay in cook mode until we put rice and water and we turn back the rice cooker into normal rice cooker. We do that when cooking nasi mandhi (arabian style), nasi tomato, nasi briyani when we need to cook before we put rice and water.

You have to disk the saffron in warm milk for colour. Coriander leaves and mint added to the cooking rice gives good flavour.

Usually when i cooked biryani, i'll put 2-3 boiled egg(ofcourse without the shells) together when cooking the rice..so when the rice is cooked, the boiled eggs are infuse with the briyani flavour.. And yes the saffron should be added earlier before cooking the rice. So the both the flavour and color are soak into the rice (and eggs). Anyway, well done to both you 👍🏻😊

If you eat Biryani in India it is more likely the Rice & whatever Protein that is cooked together in the rice... but in Malaysia it must come with additional dishes like Chicken/ Beef/ Mutten Curry or Kurma, A Chicken Sambal or Masak Merah, a Vegetable Curry or Dalca, a Pickle or fresh Cucumber/Pineapple/Chilli Pickle.

Hi - for nasi briyani, you may try marinating chicken using yoghurt, turmeric and chilli powder. As for the tomatoes, you may marinate it with some mint leaves and coriander leaves before stir frying them. It will enhance the taste of nasi briyani!

ichang..you have to soak the basmathi rice for 30 minutes before cooking.The saffron also. drizzle the saffron water on the rice ..leave it for 10 minutes.
