If The Misfits wrote Kryptonite (3 Doors Down)

Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down came on in the bar the other night, and I had the thought "wait, was this supposed to be written as a Misfits song?"

Danzig has his own style as his own entity. The whole of the misfits was necessary for the sound of the pre-graves albums. This is definitely more of a if Danzig wrote it.

You nailed it. Misfits was the first concert I ever went to. I was 16 in 1998 and I borrowed my Dad's car and drove it an hour out of town to catch the show that my parent's told me I wasn't allowed to see. Earth Crisis opened for them, and at the end of their set, the Misfits came out and threw fruit loops all over them. Great show.

This is a very interesting choice, when the Misfits reformed they had a guy named Frankie on their crew, I think he was a guitar tech, he quit the Misfits road crew after a few years and went to work for 3 Doors Down.

Musically it's pretty much spot on, but vocally it neither sounds like Danzig OR Graves. There are a few other small things I would've done differently, but I still gave it a like cuz all in all it's really well done. I just don't think it has enough MISFITS trademark touches. I agree with the previous comment that it should be labeled as your own cover. But for the record, I like this version better than the original! 🙌
