RIP Yuko Mizutani November 4, 1964 - May 17, 2016 Huge loss here since she was known for a lot of anime & video game roles, some of which she was still doing (see also Super Robot Wars & Tenchi Muyo, which is getting a new OVA sequel now). A bit of a heads up, according to Sayaka Ohara, the current voice actress for Sailor Neptune, recording for season 3 finished last week so if the parents appear again during this season, she'll still be there and any recasting will likely happen if Crystal gets a fourth season.

All of the voices for Ikuko were really great, but my favorite voice actress for her is barbara radecki from the 90's dub version of sailor moon. I thought that she did great and Tara's voice for her in the viz dub version was also great too.

Yuko had such a nice voice. Barbara made such a good voice for a mother, but after she did Neptune's voice it kind of ruined the image for Ikuko since it's the exact same tone and everything.

Barbara is one of the very few Dic/Cloverway voices that I actually like, but she sounds like a slightly lower Neptune. Tara sounds way different IMO, she has a much stronger maternal vibe going.

"Go outside and think about what you've done." No actor can save that line. It's HORRIBLE! Why would you go outside to think about what you've done as a punishment? Even in the context of the Japanese version (where kicking kids out of their house as punishment was the rough equivalent of grounding someone) it doesn't make sense. It's like she's trying to force Usagi to take a timeout (punishment more akin to a toddler or young child), but outside that really doesn't make sense. Timeouts are used to force kids to stop doing what they like doing and force them to cool down and wait. Usagi, on the other hand, needs to actually take action to study, so telling her to think about what she's done is pointless and counterproductive. Usagi wronged by inaction, not by taking action. This is nothing against the actress, but the material is just bad.
