I enjoyed this video, and i had no idea what NIL was about knowing just that players can make money. But I now realize that advertisers have profited from athletes, names, images and likeness for a very long time without athletes receiving compensation. NIL athlete's can make a a buttload lot of money.

Reggie Bush would have made hella money for his NIL deals. PS: NCAA & Heisman Trust, if you’re seeing this…GIVE REGGIE HIS TROPHY BACK AND REINSTATE HIS RECORDS!!!

I wonder if the NCAA will stop paying a portion of the costs for tuition and fees, course-related books, room, board and, sometimes, living expenses?

Who cares?!? Are you goofy?!? THE NCAA IS A MULTI- BILLION DOLLAR ORGANIZATION!! These “student athletes” are the reason they make those BILLIONS!! Paying tuition, is a super small price !! 🤦🏽‍♂️ I swear you people are the same one that think slavery is okay.. they make more than most pro sports leagues dummy! The least they could do I PAY the talent that allows them to make those billions!

@IllustratetoEducate I'd love to see videos about salary cap, or how much do NBA players actually get from those big contract they sign.

Most schools outside of the Power 4 and Group 5 schools operate in the red & should've shut their doors on football programs way before NIL kicked in.

It's about time. These schools have been exploiting these kids for far too long.

I like the fact that they’re getting paid but it needs to be regulated to some degree.

So now money is the primary factor in finding a place on a roster. Secondary is maturity, personal and academic growth. Short term gains, long term loss.

NIL was Name image and likeness. Now it's called buying your team. They have ruined college football forever, and for what? The NFL has tried to start a semi pro league and failed every time. So they decided to take over their closest competitor, NCAA football, and turn it into a semi pro league. It's sad but most people will never know what they will miss. They have players making more than pro players that haven't proved a damn thing on the field.

So hard work is no longer about scholarships and paid education. It’s what school can get me the most for NIL. We all know what schools those are in respective sports. Going to college and winning a national championship is no longer the top goal. It’s about making money for whatever school has the deepest pockets from donors.

Funny you say that when this season alone a sport like football too the power is now balancing more and the kids are actually able to go to the school thatd be best for them and get to play while making money.

It has always been about money. Now the money is being shared that all. Schools and coaches never cared about the kids' education. All they cared about was winning and making money. Only thing that has changed is now they have to share some of that money.

Is there NIL. Cotracts for elementary students yet ? Crazy, u say?? Don’t underestimate greed and money. 😂

One thing I'll make perfectly clear. The NIL has made players SOFT. They care more about money than playing the sport, being properly coach, educated, etc and are fed a silver spoon. It's a waste of talent, waste of money and a waste of time. Then IF they make it to the NFL they aren't Rockstars like they were in their college days and get eaten up. Then once they realize the NFL wasn't for them they have to figure out some sort of life skill and start their lives over again. What a waste

95% will never make it to the NFL no matter how hard they work...!! So how is it a waste if they are able to earn money on their own NIL while in college?
