True. But as a new member of a sorority, imma say this (as y’all humble sister in Christ): GOD has always been top in my life. Even when I sinned, I loved the LORD. Yes, there are women and men who turn their Greek organizations into idols, but it’s my prayer and goal to do the opposite. Serve GOD and put Him, JESUS and the Holy Spirit first and foremost. Always.💯Remember, GOD is Alpha and Omega. So, He created everything. I will give Him the Glory in everything, including being a part of my service sorority, because that’s what it should be about. Serving others. JESUS showed us how to be a servant so I will follow his example. Thank You JESUS and to GOD be the Glory! Thank You Holy Spirit also!! 🙌🏾🙇🏾♀️❤️🔥(I’m saddened that the young lady’s parents disowned her because she didn’t want to join a sorority. Thats heartbreaking. LORD please bless that family.🙏🏾)
@Luv2be9 ай бұрын
@@peacestartswithinunfortunately, those Greek gods are false god I.e. demons. In Corinthians scripture says that we cannot partake with the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. By definition, being a member is idolatry because you are interacting with a false “god” you cannot separate the organization from the god like you can’t separate the church from Jesus. The Holy Spirit is telling people that these orgs are not of God. In addition, that scripture about no other gods before me, before means in his presence, like not wearing the false gods on your clothing and/or having them a part of your organization. Each sorority has a false god. Perhaps fast and pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you.
@peacestartswithin9 ай бұрын
@@Luv2be “By definition.” Who made this definition? You? I do not worship any greek gods. I praise and worship the One, True, Living GOD, His Son JESUS and the Holy Spirit. The greek alphabet are not idols (unless they are overly used and I have been convicted. Thank God for the Holy Spirit.) GOD via the Holy Spirit told me, that I do not have to feel bad for joining my sorority because I am going to glorify Him in it and I most definitely will. I always examine myself when the Holy Spirit convicts me, I truly let GOD work on me and I humble myself. I will never put my sorority before my GOD, who is the Creator. YAHWEH. ELOHIM. The GREAT I AM. JEHOVAH JIREH, RAPHA, NISSI, TSIDKENU, etc. and you’re right, the orgs may not be of GOD but I will lift Him up in mine, because again, HE is Alpha and Omega. Much love. And thank you for telling me to fast and pray. I love doing those two things. You keep doing the same.
@Luv2be9 ай бұрын
@@peacestartswithinIdolatry, not a definition I made, one I understand. It’s discussed in the video. This extends further than overly using the Greek alphabet. It’s about the false gods attached to these organizations along with the words spoken during hymns, rituals & the covenants formed while speaking those words, bowing at altars and all the things. The word Hymn alone means a song of praise. Those sororities are not praising Jesus when they are singing their hymns. There is a Greek god (demon) affiliated with all of the d9 sororities. God said there are to be no other gods period. 1 Corinthians 10:21 says you cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils. Meaning no mixing false gods with the true Living God. According to God’s word, he isn’t ok with his children dealing with false gods, thus being in a Greek organization that has a false god. Besides why would you want to be associated with a demon? Pastor Brenda also makes mention about this in this video.

As a Pastor, I love that Megan is holding her ground about accepting the "call" to Pastor, just because someone close to her or otherwise, says it. Just because someone has a following, does NOT mean that they're "called" to the Office of Pastor. One of the duties of a Pastor is to "Give account for the souls of the people whom GOD has placed under you", and unless you have "contact" with them, this can't be done. However, I also agree with Pastor Palmer that "When it's on you, God made the decision BEFORE we were born". Be still and WAIT on the LORD. Kingdom Blessings!

I’ve been told I’m coming off “holier than thou” and “doing too much and needing to find balance “ it’s truly discouraging sometimes because I’m hearing this from proclaimed Christians and I know God is calling me to live a consecrated life and sometimes I can feel how people distance themselves or try to make it seem like I’m doing a lot but they just don’t understand. This is so so true and I appreciate y’all touching on this. I know I am dying to self daily Glory be to God and I will keep being obedient so hearing this makes me feel seen. ❤ thank you ladies

Lol listen when you really encounter God, you feel like you're not doing enough lol that's how I feel anyway. It's fine if I look strange and people distance themselves from me so Christ can bring those looking for him in my path. Trying to be relevant to appease the world that is not even looking for Christ to begin with is what got us in a lot of mess we are in. We must divorce this mentality of trying to be COOL CHRISTIANS, sounds like something laced with Compromise & Lukewarmness .

You ladies don’t know how much this helps. Sometimes the only community you can tap into when walking in a season of consecration is an online one. Because sometimes what you need to overcome that “FOMO” is to see how another believer is walking thier journey of consecration and surrender. It’s encouraging. Actually this conversation sparks to mind what Jackie Hill Perry said on “Surrender”. We are not our own, we were bought for a price. And God deserves in return the whole of us, in Totality. I LOVE this conversation!!! The depth is a breath of fresh air! The Awe of GOD will have you questioning your entire existence!! LOL! John doesn't play at all in that book!!!
