Expedition Overland was the very first off-roading/overland/4x4 channel that I followed. I loved their earlier low-budget videos that were more realistic. But now they have been producing high budget but boring videos. It seems that they spent so much money in their company, but their followers are only in the 200K range. Trail Recon however has almost 500K followers now! Trail Recon’s videos are very simple, realistic, effective and I watch them from start to finish! Kudos to Brad. A humble storyteller and seems like a great guy.

I really love watching things like opening the camp stove, filling the coffee pot. Man, pouring that coffee had me on the edge of my seat! Making breakfast is an essential chapter too. Other than that the video shows too much silly trail riding. The music going down the trail lends an air of inspiration. Were you in the state park? You might want to remember one of their regs: "Animals must be on a leash.....". Don't let them see the video. The hot dog idea was awesome! Can't get enough of the cooking. Then there's the evening around the campfire. You should do an entire video on filming coffee. Again, the background music creating such an inspirational atmosphere!

Nice , I've been all over that area but most people like me that grew up in east county (El Cajon , Santee , Lakeside) back in the 60's and 70's know that area pretty well also . Love seeing it again especially since I retired to Washington a couple years ago and miss the desert and the mountains in Southern California . It's nice seeing you out with Epic Family Road Trip and their boys Adventure Guys , if I were to run with anyone I would want it to be one of you . I'm a little to lazy to be a KZbinr though , last summer I went through 26 states and I had everything you would need to do a video of the whole thing but I think I got maybe 30 minutes in total LOL I'm just way to busy living the experience and lazy to make the effort to document it . I'm really glad there are people like yourselves that do make the effort though . I will be passing through that area in a month or so when I head for south Texas for the SpaceX launch and will likely camp somewhere in the desert between Dunaway Rd. and Yuma , yeah lots of room for flexibility but it's hard to say what time I will be there since I'm stopping off a few places down there in north county to see friends .
