Interesting. I actually trimmed and auto leveled my funjet yesterday. According to inav wiki, you can (or maybe even should) turn off Auto Level Mode after Auto Level is done. Well thats what i did, i launched, i activated angle and auto level mode, i disengaged auto level, landed the plane, disarmed and saved eeprom via stick command. The value was successfully saved. However, it is very important to not turn off servo trim when using the servo trim mode (not the continous). For servo trim, the procedure is launch, fly level and straight, turn auto servo trim, keep it on until landed, disarm and values are saved. The way servo trim works is you fly level and straight, as soon as you activate it records the average servo position for 2 seconds. After that, it doesnt trim anymore, i keeps what it has recorded for those 2 seconds. Now if it failed you can switch of and on again to re-trim. But if you wanna save, you need to keep the Mode activated until landed and disarmed. But that procedure doesnt apply to auto level.

Thanks for this information!! I was wondering about that and a little confused as to the proper procedure so this helps a lot!

Auto level is a great way to set your model’s natural cruise speed, and - according to some of the developers - it should be done in horizon mode. At maidens I set my desired standard cruise throttle (by amp draw) in horizon mode, engage auto level, let go of the right stick, and wait until the plane stops gaining or losing altitude. Then I exit auto level, and all I need to do is save settings upon disarming. Fabulous tool.

Thank you so much! I've been struggling with this on my Penguin, first INAV Build. You are the man Lee!

Thanks a bunch, Lee! 😃 It definitely seems like the way to go! Much easier than using the auto trim mode! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Love the content! I's using a Boxer and have Auto Trim and Auto Tune assigned to a switch but always forget the position when maidening a new plane. I assigned a special function to play a track but can't fine one for Trim or Tune. Do you know if they exist?

If there isn't one already, you can make it them. See github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx-sdcard-sounds Best of luck
