On the coIn that you found as your final find; I could read the word one on the reverse , it's an IHP 👍😀 A huge congrats for finding your beautiful Barber quarter, the seated dime and the war nickel!!! Steel Penny, no doubt. I dug a 44 Merc, 18 Buffalo and a steel cent spill in Lexington, one time! Never dug a Barber quarter to this day! Fantastic hunt!

I agree! I have 6 steelies I've dug with 40s spills. They all look that crappy, to a varying degree. It IS a trip for that to be the first coin in the spill to unearth before the other coin(s) it was in with. The first couple times it happened to me, I, too, thought... how in the world did this steel disc sound like an Indian?!? Luckily, I scrounged around and found another wheatie in the plug. I think you missed the regular wheatie that was in with it, Mike! GL and HH!
