Hahahaha good video mate, I'll throw you a sub for that one, I fell for that scam today with my wife, same shops and all, I'll make a video as I also filmed the whole thing too. We ended up having to say my mother in-law who was with us was sick to get out of the rest of the "tour" being inside those overpriced nonsense stores was somewhat of a torture and it completely ruined our last day in Kochi , my vid will be out in a few days if you want a laugh, keep up the great work, your vids are great

Never get in a tuk tuk unless you really want one! Exploring kochi is all about exploring on foot! These money hungry individuals will spoil the reputation of the honest tuk tuk drivers out there!

1:19 Auto driver told 100 Rs (but didn't told per hour 100 Rs) and at the end he told 1 hr 100 Rs so 4 hr 400 Rs this deliberate communication gap is the biggest tricks adopted by the Tuk Tuk Driver to Scam tourists.

Sorry you had to face this. You handled it well. But if you feel you need to report a complaint with Kerala Police they will surely help you out. The police in kerala and India are more responsible towards tourists than local citizens. Trust me you can surely get help from Police if you don’t feel safe. Incidents like these if it escalates gets national attention so police will act and will surely help you.

Dude, from Mumbai even though have slight background from here and can speak relatively ok in local tongue, Malayalam, these guys are all into stealing and lying, sensitive documents and debit cards get ripped off from paying guest accommodations, had my card stolen yesterday while I was attending a meeting and today got a message that it was used in an ATM, thankfully they got the PIN wrong, had to block that card, be afraid those who tread here, it's basically a bankrupt state and apparently with the kind of crap that happens with outsiders, even to us from other states in India let alone you guys, they, I think like being bankrupt as a whole

Yes, if I'd been told 400 from the beginning then that would have been OK. But also, 70% of the tour was not sightseeing but only for his benefit, by getting the coupons. Thanks for watching the video. 👍🏻😊❤️

He knew exactly what he was doing, and it is very clear that he has sold the tour at 100 Rupees. The price doesn't bother me. It's the lying and taking advantage of tourists that does.

1:43 .listen to this part ( for hundred rupees vs four hundred rupees ) there is a clear miscommunication here . Autodruvers in Kerala don't do such stuffs. You might have had scam experiences from tuktuk drivers before . But this guy was not cheating. They learn English just enough ,. I dont want to criticise you. Just want to let you know that this instance was not a scam. And lastly for 100 rupees no auto driver will offer a trip of this duration. He meant four hundred rupees.

Listening to it again , I guess he's in the wrong . He started with 100 rupees first and then heard for 100 rupees ( and thought you somehow told 400 rupees ) and kept going with idea in mind .

It's a little hard to show the positive side of somebody that charges 4 times the price that was originally agreed. I'll admit I was probably wrong about the breakfast place. In the past I have been taken to the drivers choice of restaurant so they get a commission/discount and thought this might have been the case here. Thank you for watching the video. 👍🏻😊

this leads people into the scam, they take you to some legit things to lure you and then they send you into all these overpriced shops, it's all part of the game my friend, as I experienced today, sometimes scammers invest a little to lure you
