I often suggest having indifference to our chronic pain. I often get pushback that it's impossible. I disagree.

I love the view of the lake and the beautiful bird song at the end of the video. I needed this one today because the sensations were wearing me down. Thank you, Dan.

Your daily messages have helped me so much …. My mindset has improved significantly ….. therefore my pain significantly reduced to the point of being able to run again 🏃🏼‍♀️ A confirmation of TMS has enabled me cancelling a long awaited appointment with a hip consultant too …. I am not broken so how can he fix me? He’d tell me I have got deterioration and what I can and can’t do and put me in fear and anxiety ….. no thanks! I’m doing great with my INDIFFERENCE and getting on with my life!! 🙌🏻 You are blessing to us all Dan. Thanks again 🙏🏻 enjoy that stunning lake x

I love this indifference. On Sunday I had a level 8 pain but I decided to get on with my day anyway and went op shopping with my partner despite being so uncomfortable I was grimacing. We were having a discussion about something and I was talking about a particular item of his clothing that I thought was “ratty”. He said “so tell me what you really think”, and we both burst out laughing, the type of laughter when you snort and hiccup a real belly laugh, I haven’t laughed like that in so long. Once I stopped laughing I was amazed that I was able to laugh through a level 8 pain, It was like yeah fck you pain I am indifferent to you and getting on with living, was pretty cool. Sore but safe, and confident it wouldn’t always be a level 8. I am loving this not freaking out stuff, which is a huge thing for me, thanks Dan!

Thanks for helping us out here in TMS land. I’m ok and pursuing the present moment . It’s gonna be ok. I ran another mile today no pain. I’m getting there and I don’t want to put myself on a schedule for the 💯 mark. Love hearing the nature sounds. 🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🐝🐝🐝🐸🐸🐸🐸

I've been really working on the indifference thing and I'm noticing changes.. some relief. I have been noticing that when I'm angry the pain vanishes. I guess I've tried not to get angry because I don't like negative angry people so I guess I've been holding in the anger.
@PainFreeYou

That's a good hint at what's gong on. Allow yourself to feel the anger without judgment about yourself. Feel it in privacy so there are no social consequences by blowing up at others.

Hi Dan I ve been trying to recover for a long time. What was the thing that made you recover? I am trying to meditate but I am just so freaking tired because I focus on the pain and it keeps spiking. I am trying to convince my nervous system thjat its safe but the pain is there for a reason and I cant find this reason. Its just so frustraing to not see any progress...

It was more than one thing. Certainty that my pain was caused by TMS. If you don't know what that is, read the description and follow the links there. Take the pain test. But once you KNOW that your pain is not due to a physical problem in your body, then the rest of the process can work very well. It's not just meditating and telling yourself you're safe. My suggestions are here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaetmHWkp815qpo ALL of the concepts are important. If you'd like additional help, consider the group coaching program and online course I just launched a week ago. You can join in any time. PainFreeYou.com/join
