literally that is me, hydro just seems so much cleaner and less hassle (or maybe different set of hassles lol). Is DWC the best method for hot peppers? Have you tried anything yet?
@jackcederberg90183 жыл бұрын
@@HugeBig I have tried it, no gnats!! The only issue I've had was timing when to put the rock wool in the medium, other than that, I would recommend. A little bit more maintenance, but not bad.
@HugeBig3 жыл бұрын
@@jackcederberg9018 that's awesome thank you!! I have a question sorry if this is silly, one thing I haven't been able to find info on, can you keep pepper plants long term using DWC method? Like once they get more than 2ft high or whatever can they stay supported so they don't fall over, is it difficult to "transplant" to larger water containers, etc? Every hydro article/video shows pretty small plants, I haven't seen any info on large plants grown with this method

Hi great videos! I had a question about adding nutrients to seedlings. What i've read is that you should add nutrients after the first set of true leaves have formed. Do you agree with that or do you think adding after the embryonic leaves are fully formed is sufficient? Also do you recommend diluting your nutrient solution when the plant is young?

Hi Khang, I really love your videos and your dedication to producing high quality videos for your viewers. I have a few questions: 1) which nutrients would you recommend for growing lettuce? I know in past videos you have used Masterblend, General Hydroponics Flora Series, and the DynaGro, but I wanted to know which one would be best for lettuce 2)Do you recommend DWC or Kratky Method for lettuce? 3) Which pH meter do you use? 4) How do you avoid root diseases when growing in Kratky Method? 5) If using DWC, and the water level drops, should I refill with same strength nutrients, or just plain water or another concentration? I know these are a lot of questions to answer, but I would really appreciate it if you could kindly reply to me. I am a huge fan of your channel. Keep making great videos, and I hope to hear back from you soon! Thanks, Raghu

hello Khang Starr, i am a big fan of your channel. I watched your hydroponic cup lettuce growing video and other hydroponic pepper growing videos. i start going lettuce in cups with miracle-gro general purpose fertilizer and a bit of jacob's fertilizer for fun,. but after harvested and i ate the lettuce, i started to vomiting very bad and sick half an hour after, i believe i got fertilize poison and almost went to hospital for that. so my question is; are the fertilize water growing method safe? I cannot explain why i got poison so bad because of the fertilizer water that I used? But I see you grow your lettuce and peppers in the hydroponic method, and one of the video you actually use the miracle-gro fertilizer for hydroponic as well and you are doing fine. and i believed you also eat your harvest fruits as well. and many other pepper growers eat the fruit as well. so why is that happened to me? right now i am really confuse whether to keep using commercial fertilizer any more. thanks

@austinwourms73865 жыл бұрын
ceaserelizondo all you need is a nutrient solution, (search “bottle hydroponics”) but study’s have showed that oxengenating the water significantly increases plant growth, on top of that many plants require high oxygen. Simply put just get a tub with a hole for your plants roots to dip into the nutrient solution and a pump, this can come from a fish tank, just make sure it can handle it, this is a basic DWC hydroponics. But if I was u I would look into other hydroponic methods.
