If there is a reason interceptors exist mainly to catch and punish bombers, then looks like this is one of them. A somewhat lean, energetic, and armed with six rapid burst cannons referred to as Shredders, for three seconds it has the same damage application as a Titan cruiser cannon, in just about the same form factor, but way more mobile and accurate, and due to that - immune to threats capitals are subjected to. When met with its own, it has few options, but one of that is to maintain initiative, and be on offense, even if it gets destroyed eventually.
Bar some unfortunate mine explosion at the start, and subsequent decision to go also repair some turrets, the experience of this "Slammer" bomber is here to enjoy in almost fullest. It may be downed with turrets or chases by very dedicated interceptors, but it will still let the pilot do a lot of damage, both on offense and on defense, in space and in atmosphere, clubbing together with the fleet or hard flying around megastructures. Make this bomber's work count by taking advantage of openings it can create for your team!
Credit to Perigard, Tellaris, Bogs of war, on Scoria Inc. team, and Static, Cryonicspade, S I M K Y U S H A, Electrifry, I VISIONED I on Havok Exc. team, for engaging in battles. The Static defense was a pretty tense moment, awesome job!
Also a note - didn't expect next move of carrier commander Tellaris after recording ended being an attack off-mission, that managed to mobilize Static and me to defend the station against the swarm of inties and bombers. No mission, no fleets (sadly), just two players in destroyers defending the base from another player commanding a carrier. Exciting!
