This time on the public test server there are changes to flight model and marker visibility. Apparently, symmetric accelerations with high boost and extra jolt within it are not as entertaining as otherwise, and large markers make it harder to understand the sense of scale required to reach the small target faster and more precisely. Trying changes to that is a good way to find whether they work or no, as well as what else breaks.
Accelerations on ships can be asymmetric now, currently presented on small ships having less backward and downward accelerations. Total accelerations have also been increased, but the boost jolt is also removed now, and the boost itself is reduced to mere +50% acceleration, which is still not small with new accelerations, topping at +150% for interceptor, with reverse being half of the result.
Markers for ships have also received changes on test version to aid with understanding sizes and relative ranges of ships more. Their minimal sizes are way smaller now, maximal sizes are larger, and they are less transparent at range as well, which makes them easier to spot. They are like stars now, almost matching the size of ships they are around, which is good for small ships, but makes markers of large ships significantly stand out.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with these changes. Not completely perfect, but the improvement is very noticeable. More variety in movement is required for attacking and surviving as a small ship, which makes them extremely effective compared to larger ships. The latter can be noticed due to how much more the attackers win, as small ships take down objectives faster, and larger ships got more aggressive, dropping into station shields even with some station cannons present.
