Ink is downplaying the idea that Activision may be doing this all with the intention to keep people addicted. Servers, latency ping, SBMM, all of these may not be malfunctions, but tools they use to tamper with your game. Its a form of psychology, the more you get frustrated, the more you invest or play.

SBD is a thing i dont care wht anyone says.Big example when i fired up the new WZ a few weeks ago i started from scratch lvl 1 with me being an exp player i knew the ends and out of WZ , So i was lvl 1 i was litterly killing everything in my path hit reg felt decent @ lvl 1.So fast forward to when i startted to reach a high lvl ( 35 to 45 ) I noticed and then started testing for my self once i reached higher lvls my shots/bullets where not registering.I knew sumthing was up they where rigging my engagments at a higher lvl.So for people that think skill based hit damage is not a thing.They are truly dellusional

It is a thing, there is no argument. They literally have a patent for changing the game in real time. The question is if its being implemented. The skill based damage is not about low skill/ high skill accounts, but low skill and high skill moments in games. for instance, If Im going 10-1, I will now take 2-3 more bullets until I have died, and once we have reached a lower level, the damage goes back to normal. If I am 1-10, I kill faster.

I don't believe in skill based damage, I believe in skill based packet bursts. Whenever my KD goes above 1.00 in a single match I get insane packet bursts whenever I SEE an enemy, in 1v1 or even in 2-3v1. Even if I win those fights by luck then whenever I die I get spawnlocked in worst spawns you can think of... And in the end I finish the match with 1.00 KD again.

I've had shots that registered and and it takes 5 to 6 shots depending on if I'm shooting chest or head but sometimes I'd have all my bullets register with with hit markers and damage being shown and taken to the opposing player but it then takes double the amount of bullets for no reason .same gun. Different matches, only counting the shots that actually register

I will continue to believe that it's real as I've seen so many clips of a guy standing point blank lighting up an enemy and the game is registering that the guy is being hit and is giving hit markers, the enemy was standing completely still and the guy got about 30ish hit markers and then the enemy died.

Have the COD servers ever just gone down at a large scale for maintenance?? Like, Steam goes down every tuesday and you can't play anything including cod during that time. Battlenet has regular maintenance too. I don't even think there was any kind of real server downtime between BO6 going live and MW3 wz dying for the integration to happen. I remember when fortnite went from chapter 1 to 2 and it didn't come back for over a day. Activision needs to give the servers a break and an upgrade while they're at it. Large scale games can't handle constant uptime, they historically never have. PUBG needed test servers for massive updates. H1Z1 had test servers. There are things they could to to mitigate huge issues like this.

The hit reg issue is likely from the multiple hit regions the models have it likely causes overlap issues when a bullet hits the merge spots of these hit regions, it gives the effect of a hit sometimes with hit markers but doesn’t do damage because these areas likely have not got damage values.

You need to watch all of the truths videos about this cod has already in the past admitted they can and actively do this and people are getting markers like they are getting hit but they are not taking any damage and i have tested it in codm on a new acount it takes less shots to kill then my main high ranked account skill based damage is definitely real

I remember someone saying that new games have a different hit registration system (maybe hit scan) compared to older games. The new games rely on the actual velocity of the bullet being shot in real time in the game, rather than just hitting exactly where you aim (that’s my basic understanding). If this is the case, do these bad servers affect this new hit registration more? If your bullet velocity determines the hits, and the bad connections or packet bursts affect the velocity even further, doesn’t it add to the problem more? I mean in the first clips Ink shows the dudes reticle is on the other person and it’s not hitting. Idk maybe someone can clear this up for me. If this is the case I feel like the old hit registration system would be better no?

Ur right its no longer hit scan bullets have to register and then hit which with the bad servers just screws over the game where ur shooting on ur screen but on their screen u didnt shoot a bullet

I have been complaining about the packet burst thing for months. It took them until S6 of MW3 to even acknowledge it, and NOTHING has been done. The only game I have issues with is CoD. This franchise is going to shoot itself in the foot at this rate.

Ricochet manipulates damage in real time against cheaters. It is a complete reality that the same system can be used (and I believe is used specially with all the clips going around) against normal players to nerf them.

Look who was correct… Also 6:36, doesn’t ricochet have the ability to give “cheaters” ghost bullets, as well as things like “not allow their parachute to open”? A “true/more accurate” devils advocate argument for “skill based damage” existing would be the fact that COD KNOWS the packet burst issue/tick rate/cheaters exist and they REFUSE to do anything about it. Instead they try to “gaslight” us into believing that we are just bad or we have bad internet or Ricochet is actually a real thing. All of which is to say that we all, yet again (minus you INK) bought ANOTHER $70 broken game.

They have made the same game for years. What do you think they use their time on? Of course they have created heavy algorithms to equal out the skill gap. These examples are so bad, it is not like they would make it so obvious. They do it in the nuances, a slight tweek to your audio, a slight tweek to your damage output, a slight tweek to the bullet speed. All of these together create the difference that most of us experience and feel when we play.

You know I’ve been saying for years they have been lowering damage on guns when you do good with them.i once shot a dude 6 times on Warzone with a silenced shotgun just for that same dude to turn around with the same gun in hand to shoot me 2 times with full armor and die.or anytime I built a really good new gun just for it to do good one round and to be garbage the next

My expertise in server stuff is limited. I do have a somewhat technical job in a related field, even though it's possible they signed a deal, I would be very surprised if they were locked into no upgrades? Sounds like to much of a handicap. I could be wrong, but you can usually speak to some sort of account manager and work out a deal, especially for such a large company.

Activision won't fix the servers, that won't make them money. Better for them to just leave it and say they will fix it for the next game then never actually do so because they know people will still buy the game.

I prefer the skill based match making though. It's not fun constantly being the one getting killed because you are put in a match with a bunch of better people than you.
