Insane Tractor-Trailer Rollover UNDER a Bridge! It's been a good while since we had such an incredibly difficult job like this. We do tons and tons of winchouts, heavy lifts and "basic" rollovers that we make look like childs play. But this job humbled us and reminded us that you can't use brute strength to complete every job.
For starters, it was under a bridge. Not just partially, but both tractor and trailer under the entire bridge. Second and probably the most difficult part, was the trailer was a dry van 53' trailer. Containers are by far so easy because of how rigid they are and the easy corner holes to lift. Even reefer trailers are preferred because those walls are very thick and hold up much better. Dry van trailers like this one are by far the weakest and easiest to tear open.
Alex and Dave were first on scene and determined the boom height needed to complete the job would not be possible under the bridge. They decided to winch out the entire unit out from the bridge and into the lanes. It was HEAVY! Big Flipper was pulling over 80,000lbs of dry weight on the floor. Was not a super fast process, but Big Flipper completed this part and then was used to swing the tractor over to make it all straight. Now the final part, using the rotators to pre-pick and rig our air bags.
The air bags are crucial to these jobs and a lack of using them is why so many other towers struggle with loaded trailers. Unfortunately they weren't able to fully place the front one since the trailer was already close to ripping, but it still helped and as you'll see, they did a clean and smooth upright while keeping everything in tact. From here it was split and both units towed separately.
It's been a while since I posted a super tough job like this one, what did you guys think of it?

It is seldom you see the a group pull together like this. Guys that just showed up to help. Everyone knew their job and everyone worked together. No other tow channel has the variety of recoveries, the professionalism and workers who are also friends. Easy to see the foundation of PEPE's success. If there was a Pulitzer for a recovery video, this is a shew in. Thanks to the whole crew and Josh for producing a great video. You guys are the best. During my second time viewing this, I thought about the "environmental" truck. So smart to repurpose a used truck than to create a new one. Decisions like this are how big companies get bigger.

There are a lot of 'what ifs' in doing recovery jobs. A lot of 'if I hook on this end what will happen on the other end'. A lot of thinking ahead. I couldn't do that kind of work.

Agreed. 35 years ago when i was just starting out i would do anything to make money including transporting cars. I thought about doing more towing but realized it was a 24 hour a day job, you need duplicate equipment from day one in case something breaks down. Special training to do wreck recovery or just so you dont accidentally damage a car, insurance for a new business, etc. im glad i left it to my competition.

The Pepe's team is like the crew on a U.S. aircraft carrier. Everyone knows their job and everyone knows what needs to be done. What a waste just from the driver failing to slow down a little bit.

There are multiple reasons as to why I never miss or dislike watching all of Pepe's Towing videos but the absolute best without a doubt is the attitude. Every single member of your guy's crew seems to really love and enjoy what they do and the comradery, teamwork and communication is so far above and beyond literally anything you see from anyone else regardless of the type of work or any other type video put up by others. Everyone of your crew gets along so well and works together not afraid to ask about any question and the responses are always respectful and explained in detail in order to help them and the whole team in general. Its just fantastic to see because I've grown so sick and tired of all these "reality shows" where they all just fight and argue and do nothing but bs around and accomplish nothing.

If Hollywood could humble themselves for a minute, watch Pepe's team & learn how you create interesting content, a lot of us would have gone to see Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Pepe's team did it without CGI... (imo) You will have more viewers than Mad Max Saga in LA theaters. Your dad created a dynasty - Kudos!

Which new truck? If you mean Dave's rotator we've had that for quite a few years now. It has no name officially tho so we call it all kinds of stuff lol. Red machine, iron man, etc

Thats a lot of dead weight big Flipper drug out...holy moly!!! Seeing how the trailer fared once upright I was amazed...relatively decent shape except as you noted up front where the air bag ended up popping out during the uprighting process. You guys never ever fail in doing a job right, in as timely a fashion as possible and always with safety number one. High fives to you all!!!

That tractor coming over was what I see after stepping on my kids hot wheels tracks. A big twist in the middle and slowly going flat again. 😬 Excellent job by the whole team. Those winches deserve a damn ice cream or something. Hell of a static load to be pulling like that. Over and over again.

I think the CDL handbook talks about high center of gravity and slowing down on curves in the first 2 or 3 pages. This guy really wanted to this bad. Took a lot of effort.

@@christopherleblanc9599 Driver might be uninjured, but I bet he has nightmares for a few days. It was a nice truck. The trailer has been part prepared for repainting - it will buff out.
