Not 100% sure abt this bcz, there is that tendency that quite often, men get accused by some wmn (and make a big noise abt it) based only on how they themselves were feeling. This also happens a lot at work places. Sadly, this unfairly destroys the men's reputation and life in general (even if he is later cleared for misunderstanding or faulty accusation). Indeed, if the police do their job correctly here, and find that something bad is happening, then the guy shall be liable of the consequences of his acts. It is however a reality out there, that men get blamed sometimes for even standing somewhere or looking in an open and public places. THIS HAPPENED TO ME!!! 15 years ago at Ralph's!! (A supermarket) the man was 95 years old!! So he couldn't run fast, but I yelled out and others helped me follow him down another aisle. RALPH's security stopped him and we watched the video and saw him take a picture up my skirt, then "run" down the next aisle where he ditched his cell phone, but we couldn't find it. AND then the cops pressured me to "drop it" bc of his age and that he was a veteran. And that the phone was gone so he couldn't do anything with the picture anymore (very different from today). To THIS DAY, I am upset that the police pressured me to let him go! He said he was doing it for his son!!! The police should have done better! And who kmows where the phone really went??? Makes me so mad that it is STILL happening!!! Good for her atleast! I hope she presses charges and goes the distance!!!

Something similar happened to me as a child in a public library 50 years ago. I was looking for a book on a book shelf and this guy bent down, of the other side of the bookshelf, with his genitalia exposed for me to see. I was shocked, and he just starred at me. (In retrospect, I guess he got off looking at the shocked look on my face.). I quickly moved away to another bookshelf, and there he was doing the same thing. I just left the library. I don’t think I told anyone what happened.

This isn’t anything new at a Barnes and Noble. I experienced this with my then time partner in 2019. We were casually walking at the outdoor shopping stores at La Cantera, when I noticed we were being followed. My first instinct was to panick; however, I thought to confirm this by walking into Barnes and Noble. Sure enough. Both men followed in just two minutes after. I thought maybe a coincidence, but five minutes later, we were approached and harassed. I informed and notified the staff and requested a security guard to escort us out SAFELY. The irony of this all is that Barnes and Noble staff could only do that for us. They could not tell the men to leave nor approach them. The security guard (bless his heart) was this sixty year old man who had trouble unlocking the security SUV vehicle. He reminded me of my grandfather and was just the sweetest and kindest man - he waited for us to get in our vehicle safely and followed us a few feet to make sure no one around was in our direction.. It is illegal to CARRY most places nowadays. Since then I keep a taser, pepper spray, and pocket knife on me. Better to be safe than sorry. You never know who is lurking and it’s sad to know that you shouldn’t (and can’t) trust many.

I bet every woman has a 'creep' story to relate. I myself have a few to speak of starting from when I was about 12. A number of SICK, DISGUSTING men out there. So VILE. Even yesterday evening I was followded by a man whilst out walking my dog. He kept a big distance from me but I realised what he was doing. Evertime I looked back he was there. Evertime I stopped with my dog he stopped. So 😢I turned down a street and ran down it and also ran down 2 more streets to keep distance between us as there were no shops around on my walk, only closed warehouses and residential houses/flats. My dog is not aggressive and is more likely to lick someone to death than chew them up. It was wierd because the distance between the creep and I was so great that it was not easily noticeable that he was following me. I am always alert when out on a walk regardless of the time of the day. I had stopped to look at some ducks in the river, played with my dog and looked back as we were about to walk on and I saw him standing watching us. I had walked past him 3 mins ago. He shouldn't have still been in the same spot. I had originally glanced at him out of corner of my eye as I was aware of him stopping and looking at me as I walked past him. I assumed he was afraid of dogs as I live in an area where people from different cultures have a fear of dogs so I kept it moving past him thinking he must be afaid of my frisky dog. I have learnt to trust my inner voice and am always aware of my surroundings. I don't even wear headphones on when I'm out walking.
