Alex was a trooper. He hosted the show up until 10 days before he died. You could tell he was in an incredible amount of pain, yet he fought through it and never gave up. R.I.P Alex.

Alex was interviewed about his chemo and he talked about getting very depressed to the point of crying hysterically I was going through chemo at the same time and thought I was the only one who was going that he helped me a lot during that time. I guess I was luckier than he was I had stage 3b colorectal and anal cancer and survived RIP Alex your passing hit me hard

Usually as a kid, I’d think of him as a normal TV show and had no emotions for him to me being actually upset of someone who was there in my TV now being gone forever 🥺

I cried big time when I heard the news, and I have never mourned the loss of a TV host. Alex inspired me to get back in the game with my education and to be the best version of myself. He was very much a mentor to millions of other viewers like myself. Coming from someone who doesn't place much value on celebrities, that really says a lot about Alex and the impact he had on his viewers. He will be sorely missed.

I worked with and knew him for four decades... He was everything you thought he was and more. He loved knowledge and learning was kind, understanding and yes a perfectionist. The day is just not as bright without him... in his memory tell someone you love them... he would like that.

Alex lasted longer than many with the same diagnosis. My uncle passed away right before Christmas 2 years ago from the same prognosis, stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He only survived a few months after the diagnosis. The fact that Alex worked up until his very last days shows just how strong of a man he was. RIP you will be missed by many.

It is a horrible disease. I am fortunate to be a breast cancer survivor, but I have a close friend that has terminal cervical cancer. She is truly suffering and it’s heartbreaking. Alex was an example of how to handle cancer gracefully. A real class act.

Alex Trebek can't be replaced. Can't be forgotten. He won't be *replaced* at Jeopardy! Whomever the person is, that takes over the hosting role of Jeopardy!, will have their own *Legacy* to fulfill there. There will *NEVER* be another *Alex Trebek* We will love & miss you! May you rest in peace now 🙏🙏 God, Bless his Wife & family throughput the days ahead! Bring them wonderful, loving, & comforting memories when they need them most! 🙏🏻♥️🤗

He truly will be missed! True FACT: My father actually had a chance to be on his game for Jeopardy years ago when I was just a little kid I hardly remember it but that’s one of the memories that I remember most. Go easy my friend you were a great man! 🙏🏼💋

God what a legend. The amount of times I’ve seen Alex’s face on TV is unreal. Everyone knows him as the Jeopardy guy, so it won’t be the same without him. This news destroyed my family and I. I’m happy to know he isn’t suffering anymore ❤️ Rest easy legend
