I agree with everything you said and wanna add 2 more things from my experience: I’m a music producer and in 2021 all my music made after September 2021 has been banned on Instagram. I make all sorts of music but the content ID system has a hard time differentiating a lot of simple ambient music. Their solution is to just ban the artists with an irreversible decision! It’s probably cost me thousands of potential supporters and dollars. Also, 2 weeks ago I quit IG for good. I did a 3 month hiatus in 2021 but this time I have no intention on coming back. Within days I noticed my creativity skyrocketed. I’m making new songs, finishing unfinished ones, and happy with the results. Even using IG primarily to talk to people in the DMs, it must’ve been something within all the content on my feed warping my mind. I’m never going back. i used to take pictures, now i am forced to take short vids of sunsets for example while creating art too, i am focused on capturing the process which takes me out of my flow zone, so it's not like i can just take a picture in the end, cause pictures just don't do well

When I first saw this trendy reel where someone would share a photo as a reel with the words, ´´apparently photos are dead and reels are the only thing that get seen blabla´´, I felt so sick in my stomach, how it just destroys creators in a way of WE HAVE TO GO A CERTAIN ROUTE,.. heck no post whatever you want, no matter the engagement rate, just post whatever the ffff you want! I really dislike Instagram due to a lot of reasons, mainly: -I made a business account on Instagram just to notice my for you page was filled with RoleModels, like Instagram was trying to use thirst traps on me -people have become insecure and easily with social media and like people are really uninterested in conversation unless it's related to social media -it disturbs my productivity

i haven’t been on any social media platform since March of 2021. I’m so happy I haven’t gone back because it’s so worthless. i miss the days when social media was fun when u could just post silly pics and not care abt anything or anyones opinion. i only have youtube and pinterest and my life has changed for the better I’m so much happier and healthier. before I used to literally be on social media for 17+ hours it was so unhealthy especially tik tok which is the literal devil’s creation. but anyways loved ur video❤😊

I want to say I totally agree. Social media platforms are heading towards being totally commercial and capitalist, disregarding personal brands, artists, and unique creators. It's sad really. Yeah I’m not dealing with the app no more. There are other alternative apps for likeminded individuals like Behance , creatively , Pinterest …. the vibe will literally give you the energy of posting for fun. You can even get career opportunities through creatively & Behance with well known companies. Plus Instagram & Facebook is a mixture of ppl from ur hometown who aren’t open minded to art who are literally just up there for being nosey lol & then random ppl online . Let alone those apps seem like an ad advertisement. & short videos are lowkey dead lol
