nice way to flood the engine. capping the bottoms with rubber caps and clams will not let your rods sink down inside. you'll need a short piece of tubbing and cap the bottom of that. also will need to run small drain tubes from the bottoms, and will be too low to drain... THINK!

If you roll the ski how do you keep the water from going inside of it with those rod holders?

Yes it goes on the bottom of the rod holder inside the ski. It clamps on the outside of the rod holder.

I cant remember the exact size. But I would definitely get stainless steel and I wouldn't use anything over 3/4 of a inch long.

why would you need to drill two holes?

The hole needs to be oval 2" by 3" because it sits at a angle.

Bro… I’m really not trying to be a-hole but I’m like 99% positive you installed it wrong. I’ve never seen any fishing rod holder where the rod of it goes inside the hull, and now you have a big spout that will fill water into the hill. I feel Bad but man, this install is backwards

They are capped off, so no water gets in the hull. There is literally no other way to install them on a ski.

@@Jeremyfishingoregon all if the rod holders I see are mounted by sliding under the back seat screws then screwed back on, same in the side, and if any drilling, it’s just those 3 little holes, mounted on exterior. If that’s not the case with yours it’s a stupid design for a vessel. Again, not giving you a hard time it just doesn’t make sense. My other channel is a wave runner channel too and that’s a Bitchen rig
