I just wanted to let you know that you have basically saved my life. If it wasn’t for me stumbling upon your videos on insulin resistance one day, months ago, I never would have known what to do. My life and health has drastically improved since then. Even the most holistic medical facility in my area only sent me away with a fist full of supplements that i took for years and my regular medical doctor left me with the advice to “eat better and exercise more”. You have actual answers and solutions and I absolutely love you. I will always be grateful for you and the work you do here.

OMG sweet! a youtuber in Australia that makes content on insulin resistance, keto/IF and low carb. I follow other channels that cover those topics but they're in the US and I could never get their box deals, but now thanks to you I know about Butcher Crowd right in in 'Straya :D Your content is very helpful, you break it down in a clear and simple manner and style.

I just stumbled across ur channel after being diagnosed with pcos. Since pcos and insulin resistance go hand in hand, I’ve watched many of ur videos to educate myself on healthier eating. I find ur content easy to understand and follow. I am making these huge lifestyle changes because I’ve already lost a baby to hormonal dysfunction caused by pcos and I want to be better for the next one. Thanks for educating me.

I could always use low carb tips. A quick meal low carb is scrambled eggs with cheese. Sliced avocado on the side with some beef jerky. As a 16 year type 2 diabetic, I am so burned out on the diet. I like these videos as reminders of what I should be eating. Thank you Kait.

Okay so I grew up in Adelaide from 2001-2007 and Foodland stores did not used to look like that. I’m so shocked. I remember my local foodland being really barren and tacky, and we lived in a decent area. Good on them for updating and coming so far! Also I’ve lived all over Aus and Adelaide is the only place I’ve encountered Foodland. :)

Hello Kait from the southern coast of Great Britain! I have been an IDD type 1 diabetic for the last 54 (55 in January) years. I have always been what they used to call a 'brittle' diabetic. However, I have not let it stop me from doing a lot and have a wonderful husband of 36 years and 2 kids who are now in their 30's. In the last few years my overall health has deteriorated (bout of Breast Cancer 4 years ago) quite a bit. Sorry for the rambling. My insulin is now either not working or working too well ! Am due to see the consultant next Wednesday and hope to see the dietician as well. Thought I might find out from them if it is worth me going on a low carb/Leto diet and wondered if you could give some pointers? Love your videos as I find them interesting and informative. Thank you for any help you can give me. Tracy
@HealthCoachKait3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tracy! I am sorry to hear your health has went downhill the last couple of years but I am sure you will still have more great years to come when you get your health back on track! Have you heard of double diabetes? It happens when someone with type 1 develops insulin resistance and thus needs to keep increasing their dose of insulin. A low carb diet can certainly help with that so you will be able to better control your sugar with less insulin. Are you on Instagram? There is a lovely girl named Sophie who shares a lot on there about her success with low carb and type 1. And she is based in the UK, too! instagram.com/t1dsophie All the best ❤️

Hi Kait, Not sure if you'll see this. New subscriber here with a question.. I have a lot of weight to lose and am going to convert to Carnivore diet. My questions, 1. If you could eat the same 6 things not counting spices and butter, what would they be? For example my favorites Bacon, Ground Hamburger, Eggs, Steak, Chicken, St louis Ribs. 2. Any tips with this lifestyle of eating for someone who is Obese?.. I'll be honest, I'm 6"2in 365lbs and have a LOT of weight to lose
@Live2Live13 жыл бұрын
You are on the right track. It takes time to lose weight! Focus on the 65 lbs not your total weight. Educate yourself on Intemitted Fasting, you need to get healed from insulin resistance first, then learn what foods will help you reach your weight lose goals. Take it 1 or 2 lbs at a time! Weigh daily and record your progress!

Plant based butter is margarine rebranded and highly inflammatory. I recommend everyone avoid it. Something like coconut yogurt is ok without added sugar. Most plant based milks are mainly vegetable oil so find one that’s just almonds or coconut and water.
