It seems to be true. My older sister is married to a White man. They’ve been married forever and still seem to be very much in love. It’s beautiful to see. And I’m a black gay man, lol. Some of the Black men were definitely salty. But oh well. I’m only concerned with seeing Black women loved, protected, and glowing. If they love it, I love it. ❤

I think this is because bm tend to take us for granted. They know we're not known to IR date, so they mistreat us because they know we're not going to go anywhere. Until we do. We are now seeing that we should go wherever we're appreciated and to be loved by a bw is appreciated and, I believe, he loves her back and he shows it. I have noticed that wm tends to know and is socialized to treat us like the women we are. They know that if something happens to him, we got his back. BM always telling us we're not deserving of love and protection or when they are with us. The demands are crazy. I have never dated a wm who asked me for money or to move into my home. I've dated bm who asked for money and to move into my home THE DAY WE MET.

My husband understands that the household chores ,and task of looking after the elderly parents and future children is going to be a lot on my plate. therefore he asked me recently if I was ready to be the house spouse. When I explain to him why I wasn't ready to do that yet he understood. And the offer still stand. This scenario seldomly happens in the communitah, and when it does is usually something sinister behind it.

Why do you have to tear down black men 😕 a black man can do the same exact thing a white man can do. Not every black man is the animal you generalize us to be. A lot of us actually adore black women in fact the majority of us do. You are an Uncle Tom. There is such thing as white trash. The white man is the most evil and vile man in the world 🌎 you women are unable to see that. The white man is happiest in his own skin and is incapable of relating to a black woman going through a racist America. White men walk out on their families a lot too but the media only cares when it’s a black man.

As a bisexual half Asian woman- I absolutely adore bw. I feel that many black men tend to take bw’s kind, hard working, ambitious, hilarious, talented, beautiful, warm spirits for granted. It’s not right. It’s deeply disturbing, actually. Maybe it’s because bm have a lower social status in comparison to their white counterparts so they take that frustration out on bw. I’m not sure- but their behavior in that regard is inexcusable. What I have noticed is that no other group shits on or demonizes their women (in the public sphere btw for everyone to see) in the same way that black men do. It’s infuriating. I am SO thrilled to see bw opening up their dating pool and realizing that so many of us non black folks adore black women!! Y’all deserve so much more💜

The lady with the white hair was spot on when she talked about the power struggle between bw and bm. The only institution where a bm is ALLOWED to rule is the family so ANY pushback by any woman especially a bw is gonna be met with extreme hostility. This is why they're so obsessed with "submission " with their partners Cuz this is the only time they're allowed to rule and be in control. I have many non black gf who had kids with nakers and the second she challenges him on anything, she's told she's "acting like a black woman".

Im not married but my BF is White. He is so thoughtful & considerate of my needs/desires. He goes above & beyond without me asking him to. He is a provider in EVERY way-he provides security in showing me that I matter to him and that he'll be faithful, committed & true to us; he provides safety; peace of mind; and money is never a debate. When I say I feel like I can be my authentic self with him (weave, nails, braids, natural, relaxed), he doesnt care. And my baby touches my hair, weave and all, lol😂 so idk wth that other guy is joking/talking about. I can say that Ive never felt like more of a woman with any other man than I currently feel with my boyfriend today b/c Im not stressed, disrespected, devalued, dismissed, worried he'll give up on us b/c he found a baddie or over some small slight. He's not trying to dominate me, control me, confine me or place restrictions on me. He just wants what's best for me. And things are so easy between us. Being with him is as easy as breathing. I love him (but I still havent yet told him), after 2 months of dating and a total of 1 year knowing one another. I took my time with him. He let me take my time and he never failed to prove that he's just a good man-consistent, true, loyal, dependable. The list goes on. And he talks about marriage, building a family, a real future! He's everything I ever wanted in a partner. We dont fight about common sense. Like I said, its been easy, fun, and I feel like I never have before. I cant speak for these BW/WM marriages, but if their men make them feel anyway like mines does to me, then I get why the marriage rate is higher. Because Im not going to do anything to jeopardize losing such a good man.

That's why some of us are tired of dating black men. I'm tired of my opinions being shot down as wrong or stupid just because I don't agree with a black man. With a black man even just on FB casually commenting I'm clowned and berated at every chance I get no matter how neutral and logical I remain. I don't want to date any race that will put me down or make me feel as though I was better off not existing. Most importantly white men are raised to believe that marriage is required for success. They buy into it. Blk women buy into it so they both thrive. Might I also say that she might feel safer which is healthier personally and for the marriage. Which leads to both feeling happier. A critical mass of Blk men are not raised to buy into marriage and are not supported even if they do buy into marriage. Their support (friends, social media) encourages infidelity. So even though white women buy into marriage, if they have to overcome infidelity then they won’t feel safe. Which then affects the marriage. IMO

Their marriages last longer and seem more successful, outside their race. The more educated the Black women is the more likely she will marry due to more interaction with other races of men. If you educate your girls in a more interracial environment, they are more likely to cross over. They aren't looking for other races but are treated better when they do date. I'm at the end of the video and I've learned some things. As for Black love and the power struggle. Black women have had to fight on their own even within the union, partnership whether as significant others or married. This right here sums it up the relationship of Black people. They both work, but if child care becomes an issue a Black man doesn't think, it never enters his mind that he has to find child care for the child or children. He just subconsciously leaves the problem to be solved by his wife. He doesn't see it as a "them" problem. He sees it as his wife's problem. He just doesn't even think about it. If her job is threatened he doesn't think about it. If she is going to be late. He doesn't think about it. He is completely oblivious, callous even. and when asked he looks confused. Whereas a white man will take half the burden of or even the entire burden of finding someone, even if it is temporary. He doesn't leave it for his wife to figure it out on her own. That is the difference. Also, this brings on that belief that black men have that Black women think they can do it all by themselves. that they don't need a man. When you have to solve all of the problems, Black women begin to wonder "Why do I need him?" Black men get Black women there to that place, then call them aggressive, angry, sassy, etc. They don't take accountability for the Black woman's need to depend on herself when she's been shown she is all she has.

One thing I appreciate is that we can be affectionate with them! My family wasn’t affectionate, so I didn’t discover that I’m VERY affectionate until I had a white BF. Based on each WM I’ve dated, they’re affectionate at all times, everywhere. They’re not just grabbing you when they want to “lie down” with you. They’re always hugging, caressing, squeezing, etc., just to show affection, and I do too. Some tweet went viral about BM needing a hug, and I saw tens of thousands of likes and hundreds of BM agreeing, with many saying they were never hugged or could count on one hand how many times they were hugged and still have some fingers left over. That’s not to say some WM aren’t the same, but in my experience dating WM, LM, and AM, they were all affectionate, even publicly! None were too “manly” to be so.

We can talk to them and they are willing to listen. Once again most. Now bm and ww fetishize over one another. Bm love the look of long straight hair and pale skin. White women love the bbc. But when that fetishization is over than the relationship is over. Remember black men said they are attracted to looks 1st. Ww tend to age fast so those looks goes out the door and that man is on to the next. Wm age fast as well but one thing a black woman don’t do is leave over looks. We understand people age over time. For me, I think it’s the power dynamic angle. My husband appreciates and celebrates my strength. I marvel at his strength and wisdom as well. Because we appreciate the strength we both bring (and the type of strength we both have) we don’t feel threatened by each other. He pushes me to do what I’m afraid to do and I push him to execute the myriad of idea that run through his head. Neither of us are afraid to poke fun at the other or ourselves nor to be vulnerable. Having the dual strength dynamic means when i weary of walking in strength, he is there holding shit down until I catch my breath and when he needs to be vulnerable, he knows I’m strong enough to trust him and hold shit down until he reenergizes. Also there’s a mutual understanding that we are partners, not competition. I know people like to say BW change FOR the WM. This isn’t true, at least not for the women I know. It’s not so much changing FOR him as it changing BECAUSE of him. Knowing that if I waiver, he’s right there to catch me allows me to drop my guard and breath. We’ve been through some scary stuff in 30 years and he taught me how to tuck in and grind without being angry at the situation or crumbling under the weight. I wish all of my black and brown sisters could feel the peace of having a man strong enough to value a strong woman as well. Bless. ❤

I was raised in an educated black family so I never understood why I was labeled as anything other than an educated Blk woman. As I matured I noticed a lot of educated wealthy white guys would always be attracted to me but I would still entertain the educated Blk men as well because that’s just what I attract and I do not discriminate towards either. I just feel like I can geek out with white guys easier therefore making me comfortable just being myself. And yes, we would geek out on the different books we both were reading! I love it.

As someone who has had many (failed) friendships with both black men and white women, I will say they share poor communication skills, and will both prioritize the social optics of being in a relationship over happiness or compatibility. Props where it's due to my white ladies where it's due though, a lot of them are making the effort to grow out of that mindset.

The reason BW and WM relationships last longer is simple to me-. The main reasons marriages fail are -finances, lack of communication and infidelity. WM statistically have better finances than BM WM don't seem to be as afraid/reserved to express their feelings as BM do If a WM has decided to go against the norm (possibly his fam etc) and marry a BW, then he's usually VERY enamored with that BW and therefore the cheating probability will be low. 💯💯 PS- white men don't come online to make videos bashing their own women like black men do....so there's that too.

My adopted mother is black being from Baton Rouge Louisiana I have really only been around black folks so, what I have seen especially the fact I work in politics I have a more socially aware view on this. When you see a white man who dates black or Hispanic women he is usually more on the feminist side and the progressive liberal side, so with that he is more socially aware of the plight of black women especially, so he knows that in order to approach a black woman as a white man he has to make her feel comfortable, safe and respected and he cannot in any way come off in the place of the oppressor. And then you have black men most black men who have a negative attitude towards black women either grew up in a home where his daddy was not around or his daddy or step daddy treated his mother like sh*t, and black men love to take on the victim complex so instead of hating how his mother was treated and wanting to make sure he changes that cycle for black women on the behalf of his mother or instead of being sympathetic towards his mothers struggle as a single black mother he goes straight to internally hating his mother and blaming his mother for the fact his black father was a sorry a** dead beat and romanticized having a relationship with his father and how things would been different if his father was around and instead of being mad at his father for choosing to not be around because then it would make him as a black boy then to a black man know there is a problem with black men and they refuse to take accountability so instead he blames his mother for his fathers actions and that misdirected blame becomes bitterness and internal hatred towards black women. Then once he dates a white woman notices he creates the same kind of conflict with her as well and after being mistreated for so long by him that white woman starts getting tired of his sh*t too so it becomes an in general women in general instead of holding himself accountable for the fact that generally he is the problem his victim complex and his narcissistic thinking of “ o I couldn’t possibly be the problem, it’s everyone else” makes it become an issue of now all woman this all women that, when no women only act and react based on how you treat us. I am bi sexual and I have dated both black men and black women only and let me tell you dating black women is by far much easier, black women are far more peaceful, loving, nurturing, caring, generous and genuine and empathetic than black men could ever be, that’s a fact jack, my adopted mother is a black woman and she, her sisters and my girl cousins have shown me how amazing black women are, how the unconditional love and loving nature of black women is the strongest most beautiful blind and powerful thing on this planet, thus I have an unwavering, unconditional, deep gratitude, respect and and deep love and empathy for black women.

I have always been open to having a relationship with a black woman. I find black women beautiful and in my experience they have very desirable values and traits. I'm sure there are so many men who feel the same. I've always had a feeling that the dynamic would make a very strong, long lasting, quality relationship. I am happy that people are finding this to be true. I have to say that throughout my life, I'm fifty four years old now, black women haven't seemed interest in dating other races. They've felt unapproachable. I believe that this type of union would be a much larger percentage if the interest was publicly known.

common culture. White American men marrying black American women have American culture in common. rather than say being married to someone from a non-American culture. Also common familial culture. Black women and white men are fiercely protective of their families. Also if you are gonna be in an interracial marriage then you prepare yourself for the ups and downs of that situation. Finally, white men have unassailable white privilege the success of their woman does not threaten their masculinity. patriarchy or place in the world, the way it often challenges men of color. It also doesn't help that the failure rate of black male and white females relationships is so high

IMO

@bm1617 understand, we're not coming to you anymore, so why do you care? There are many pickmeeshah who will love you long time, pay all your bills, buy you a Playstation and let you stay home and play that mfkr and all she's going to ask you to do is get your stepson off the school bus. You won't even have to cook and clean. The rest of us have either left you altogether or we have chosen other options. WM DO marry bw everyday, I assure you. I have 3 BLK daughters, two are engaged to wm who are the money of their relationships. The one who chose a bm? Is a bm. Yes, he keep losing jobs, and one day, they were facing eviction, and that nicca left and ran home to his momma! Not his daddy, as his daddy left hi as momma not too long ago. Ah, ladies. This reminds me, storytime about this last one, the "brother"! This dude was raised in a two parent household where mom was and still is totally dependent on dad. They are still married. Dad gets on his son often and he gets on her for babying him. Still, they say two parent household. He came from one. They both wanted to build together. She became a chef who tends to cater. He, was in school, and quit. When ish hit the fan and they were facing eviction, HE RAN, leaving both mom and baby at the apartment with the eviction notice while he caught the greyhound home. He did not consider the fact she carried him for several months that he was unemployed. Mind you, she is now a nursing mother. She also isn't alone. She has all of us and collectively, we all pulled her and baby through and crisis averted. Guess who wants to come back? Mr. Brotherman. "For what," she said. "I admit, I was afraid of doing this alone when you left, but I did it. I did it without you. I don't need you and I don't want you just for you to leave again the next time I need you." Him being gone made her eligible for many government benefits she wasn't otherwise eligible, including childcare assistance. THIS is what happened to our foremothers. They did not kick out their providing husbands for government benefits. Those deadbeat men LEFT and in a panic, they looked to the government, which came through. Once they get stable, he tried to come back and she said no, I don't need your stress. Because she refused to allow him to come back to her, he gaslights by saying welfare took him out the home. No, he was already gone because he left his family alone, destitute, and without any other means; so, they looked to the state. This is the reward my daughter got for being race loyal. You better believe she divested now. BM in here are gonna hate, threaten, gaslight, and she's still going to stay seeing her new guy who happens to be a non bm.

As a white man who's dated primarily black women(I have a son with one) in Washington DC and New York City, all these points are fantastic; sidebar: I'm a professional photographer. I kept connecting and dating black female lawyers or paralegals, especially when I was in DC, plus other executive-level black women. I think black women who have advanced degrees, are upper-middle class and are very career-oriented have a hard time(not saying it doesn't happen) finding black men of their caliber or that are not scared off by them to date. So it is more accessible to date white men, and white men want a partner(not all) of their caliber, so they're not scared off.

And it’s not just the best outcomes among interracial relationships. The study showed Black women and white men have the lowest divorce rates of ALL combinations, including intraracial couples. Some of the people in the videos made a lot of good points. But I’d add that BW/WM is also one of the most rare interracial combinations. It’s not a trend the way a lot of other combos are. Also most black women are not interested in dating interracially. So there’s often something special about the people and circumstances involved. Wait until it becomes more common. Those dynamics will become just as toxic ass all the others.

While I do get what you’re saying and think it could be true, if the motivation for the people coupling are compatibility on several levels, they’ll be fine. The marriages that fail the most were built on superficial (so, shaky) foundations to start with. But if you’re looking for someone who matches your energy and worldview, you have a much better chance of success. But, yes, what you propose could happen, and it’ll happen from the BW simply running from BM and who use terms like “swirling” regarding dating out. Those women won’t be doing it for the right reasons, and they’re going to accept bad men (predatory men watching all of this discourse) of other races because they don’t have discernment (ergo, they wouldn’t have a string of bad relationships with BM). So, yes, it may happen if the motivations are bad. However, there are cases where the women go in hurt, get repaired, and have a strong relationship.

From my personal observation - the BW/WM couples that I've seen are very successful and constantly thriving. The BW are also more relaxed and get to bask in their femininity. I've noticed that BM/WW are very passive - aggressive and have a sense of entitlement. BM expect to be praised by BW that's why it offends them when they see BW with WM and this is what I was told by a BM himself. This BM doesn't date BW anymore due to *his* experiences, he said that BW are too confrontational and he'd rather see his mother alone than be with a WM because it's insulting to him and other BM. With all of their struggles in the world, they still need to have options...YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY! Some BM also believe that because their mothers didn't have a softer life, that BW overall shouldn't have one either. A lot of BM that I've met that are in interracial relationships, have issues with the BW in *their* families and refuse to address it and take it out on all other BW, but they'll get angry when they see BW with WM. It's sick! BW/WM we're not afraid to communicate what's going on and we can see the bigger picture. We're progressive. NOW, I'm not saying ALL BW/WM + WW/BM. I'm just speaking from my experience and from what I've observed. WM like to talk and will ask questions and BW like myself enjoy effectively communicating to get better insight.

In any type of relationship you have a better chance at a lasting one if both are on the same level whether it be mentally, emotionally, spiritually and so on. As long as the couple own up to their responsibilities and have that natural love and affection for one another it will last ,communication is also vital, and i left out the financial aspect because thats not what the relationship should be based on because working together as a unit will create a more stable lifestyle.. 40 years + for us and i don't see either of us wanting to lose what we've made together..

My turn to talk on love! I'm black and he's white. It's a long love story so buckle up. My boyfriend and I were friends in middle school when we were younger. He's always been super shy and very good at hiding his feelings (sometimes a little too good). He liked me but he never said anything because he didn't think I would be interested. I had liked him too but he gave me no indication of liking me so I never said anything either. We lost touch after graduating that school until he emailed me out of the blue on my school email towards the end of our senior year of high school. He just wanted to say Hi and catch up so we exchanged numbers and started talking. He confessed how much he used to like me, I said the same and we both laughed and kicked ourselves for not saying anything back then. We never would have lost touch and could have been together all those years if one of us just spoke up. So after a week of talking he asked me out on a date. I agreed. That date was our first time seeing each other face to face or even AT ALL since we were children. Growing up had done him so good because I was stunned when we met at the restaurant and I saw him. He had gotten a lot taller, had grown facial hair, was stronger with broad shoulders and of course he had a much deeper voice which took me a minute to get used to. He was always cute before but now he was the most handsome man I'd ever seen. He said the same about me. I hadn't changed much. I was still the tiny I height I was in childhood but obviously more developed in certain...areas. He said he felt like he was looking at a goddess. We had a nice lunch, then we walked to a nearby lake. It was a cold spring day and I had foolishly forgotten to wear a jacket or a sweater so as we walked he wrapped his arm around me to keep me warm. We got to the lake's gazebo and he let me wear his jacket and we just stood there hugging while watching the scenery. Being in his arms felt so right. Then I kissed him. I just felt compelled too and I swear the whole world faded away. That was his first date, first kiss, first everything because he'd never had a girlfriend before. When I got home that day I was spinning around the house with happiness. As we texted that night we agreed to become official boyfriend and girlfriend and even confessed that we LOVED each other. After one day we already knew. We knew that we were in love, we knew that we would be together forever, we were each other's soulmates. The rest was history. I've had a rough life. I come from a family who has never truly respected me. I have Autism, I no longer care about religion, I'm LGBT, I have tattoos. Everything about me goes against their beliefs. They have no respect for people who are different. So I was a difficult child for them and none of them are capable of real love anyway. Love in my family is CONDITIONAL. The only person who truly loved me was my one grandma who died when I was 16; her passing tore me apart. My boyfriend has been the first person to truly love me and bring real happiness into my life since I lost her. He listens to me, he helps me through things, he understands me and even when he doesn't he tries to, he gives it to me straight and doesn't just tell me what I want to hear but does it without ever making me feel less than, he makes me feel safe. Most of all I can be myself with him. All of my quirks and annoying flaws are beautiful to him. People think we as black people lose who we are if we get with other races, especially white people but that could not be more false. I feel more black with him than I ever have in my entire life. My family all straightens their hair and is all about appearance and never coming off as ghetto, aggressive or unintelligent and drilled all that into me since I was born. Now since I began dating him I wear my natural curls and use proper hair products for the first time ever and my hair is healthier than ever and actually growing. I also no longer hate my skin. I'm not even that dark, I'm kind of right in the middle. But still light skin in the black community is what's beautiful and all other shades are ugly. But my boyfriend loves my skin, my nose, my hair, my lips and all of my supposedly ugly features. To him I'm stunning. Now our anniversary is next month and I know he plans to propose as much as he's trying to hide it from me. People against interracial love can go screw themselves. True love comes from anywhere. Maybe you guys should be better partners and learn how to please someone before judging others. Let someone tell me our relationship is a bad thing or that our love isn't real. I'll put my sword right through you. 😠 Edit: He proposed as I hoped and we are now moving in together. 😍

Its wild that so many people clearly don't understand that her statement is actually based on statistics from the census. These stats are not made up. It was a hard pill to swallow for me too

I’m not really sure what the secret is, but my Russian man takes such incredible care of my Jamaican-American self. He’s thoughtful, kind, nurturing, supportive, opens my doors, puts on my coat and is such an amazing provider and protector. I never have to worry about how he feels about me or us and our communication is top-notch. I noticed that when I date white men it’s pretty much always like that and if for some reason we don’t work out, we are still cool with each other. I can see them on the street and have a pleasant catching up conversation and keep it moving. One of the last guys I dated was Italian and his mom called me about a month ago just to say that she missed me and to see how I was doing. Mind you, he and I broke up almost 4 years ago, and his family still treats me with the utmost kindness. I definitely can’t say any of that about black men I’ve dated. 🤷🏽‍♀️ 🇷🇺 🇯🇲 🇺🇸

Generally speaking, white men are socialized to provide for and protect their wives and children. This is something white women largely take for granted. On the other hand, black women crave this provision and protection because they rarely get it. When they do get it, black women appreciate it and fall into their natural feminine roles as caregivers to their husbands and kids. When white men see this, it makes them respect and desire their black wives, and it motivates white men to continually improve for their wives and kids. As this cycle continues, the couple gets stronger and stronger in their bond with one another. White women will often complain their husbands work too much. You will rarely find a black wife telling her husband he works too much. She understands the importance of security.

I agree with the yt guy in the red shirt. And, actually the BW & WM marriages also last longer than WW & WM marriages.

This was a very good video. I love how every race & gender on both sides had some very honest and insightful answers that weren’t stereotypically or disrespectful.

Because both believe in having job skills /education /ambition / working, direct communication/ Open sexually , its a win /win. WW and BM are just the opposite of all this . WM are sick of lazy WW and BW sick of LAZY struggle BM bandits for life .

Educational attainment also plays a role in interracial dating for black women. Generally, the higher their education level, the more likely they are to date outside their race.
