The fact that there are so many people with such fragile egos who will get you banned from tournaments because of some baseless accusations just shows how fundamentally broken the community is, but what is worse to me is that any form of descent or disagreement is met with childish hostility. This is what happens when pride, arrogance, and even spite run rampant in a community, and this will continue until literally everyone else is MeToo’d out of existence. I’ve always loved watching competitive Smash and rooting for various players, but now, I don’t care what happens to the community at this point. When I was 25 I was running a 2-man team by myself for about a year, when they decided to hire in the wife of a business partner that they would hope less to us getting more work. I had been with the company for three years at that point. She was super nice, we worked together for two weeks, though she brought up weird topics related to sex stuff and I was an introverted virgin at the time, so I just laughed it off and went along with the conversation. After the first two weeks, she didn't show up on the following Monday, so I did the three jobs we had all alone. Right before I went home for the day, my router called me. Turns out, she reported me for SA. Said that I was the one who was talking about sex all the time, asking her wild ass questions like incest stuff, all stuff SHE brought up. Luckily my employers took my side after I told them my side, they pushed back on her allegations and she gave up almost immediately. So they don't hire female CSRs anymore, and it left me scarred.

Thank you for your service here. Getting tired of the narcassitic idealogues that happen to have all the say in who can play tournaments and how we run the community. This community will tear itself apart for good if there is no serious conversation by the most prominent figures about it's issues. They would have to admit falling for the mob-peer-pressure to bury their heads in the sand and avoid hearing out technicals on anything, which also risks their own careers for calling out the hijacking of smash by the extreme far left segments of the playerbase. So yea probably not happening RIP I woulda maybe been top of my local PR (real) if it wasnt for all the spinelessness and grime and 2facedness of these slippi and post-doc kids ruining the scene with their hypersensitivity and lack of due process because all the cronyism. I think the silent minority that agrees with tech on at least some points is growing. Here is one realistic thing I believe could save the future of grassroots tournies with huge attendance numbers: Smash (melee could be separate from ult, either works) needs a large panel of every locally PR'd player voting anonymously on bans (allows people to not worry about commiting wrongthink) or this community is fucking done for. Instead of just TOs with the means to run tournaments setting and enforcing everything (as they rightly can do as it's their tournies, corrupt with hypocrisy and bias or not), we can have the standardized rulesets and code of conduct and enforcement of it all rely on EVERY player who is actively PR'd in any region. It means they to tournies and put their blood sweat and tears into the game, and they should have a say. And there can be weekly community votes as well as conduct on how TOs should handle any cases like this with their public-facing accounts. This TO deserves a 3 year ban for this and obvious Kiki permaban and jail

I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing. Those monsters orchestrated this whole thing just to remove their competition obviously; they scarred this guy for life and it could have led to his entire life being ruined and they couldn't care less and it was even worse considering he was a foreign visiting. No wonder the competitive smash community has been slowly on a decline since 2019/2020, this shit has been happening since I was in the smash 4 scene in 2015. I got banned from the georgia smash scene for bluntly checking the ego of a 40 year old to with kids displaying their authority in the georgia smash community to the main vast majority of 17 year olds at the time, and I was permanently banned from the Georgia smash discord and certain tourny events for simply bluntly and boldly stating my mind and telling my truth ☠

I once said an inappropriate joke at a Ultimate tournament and the next day they had a post about me on the Tournaments Facebook page with 200 plus comments saying the worst things about me and how I’m a horrible person. Threats and all. I never went back. It sucks because I love to play smash but the community is so toxic. People are still wearing mask at these tournaments. Zero brain cells.
