This man took a bus for 6 hrs to attend my graduation. Picked me up with all my crap in his dad's car to move me back home. Today we have a combined income of 200k+ and a beautiful son. They're all penny pinched when it comes down to money yet I'm able to save or spend money and do what I want. Renting is fine and it sounds like you got a good setup but I would definitely start thinking about something long-term and permanent. It's easy to listen to any idiots share their garbage opinion on any podcast. Anyone with an ability to communicate can now spread their misinformation to a large audience... We spent most dates back then going for walks, watching the planes fly in & out of our local airports while we talked, laughed, & listened to music, or we'd just hang out at my place watching TV. A couple of our dates were even just the two of us set up at a picnic table at some park on a nice day, stuffing & hand addressing dozens of envelopes to send out his resume. This year, we'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary (34+ yrs together). He's an amazing husband, a _solid_ provider, incredible friend, & and the best father to our child. The nice trips, restaurants, cars, etc. eventually came. What I had all along, tho, *from jump,* was a _good man._ I would've been the dumbest b*tch _alive_ had I put a wage minimum on our relationship."

If I’d blown him off because he wasn’t 6ft and made pennies then I wouldn’t have the most INCREDIBLE husband in the world. Everyone can have their delusions about salary their guy should make but to call women who don't prioritize disposable income "bottom of the barrel" is such a despicable take all I can think is that she knows she's not a woman that will ever experience a love like that a love that makes her want to stick through the tough times, she'll only ever love a wallet. There is a hollowness that can't be denied in that and people often chase further into the "addiction" to stave off the feeling of hollowness, it's why I think 100K has become the new "making it" bench mark by these people's standards cause it has to keep being more to make up for the hollowness that continues to be more prevalent.

Do you have the ability to go work, do you have an education that you invested in? Do you have something to fall back on if amd when things go south? Because 75% of marriages fail, do you think all those couples said, well we will give it a few yrs but I'm sure we'll divorce. NO! no one EXPECTS to get divorced!! But it happens more often then not. Keep your options open, always keep your career, always have money set aside that only you have access too on both sides! This crap where my money is my money and your money is my money? No sir/ma'am that shit don't fly! Look out for yourself, take care of yourself, and hope things go well but always have a back up in case they don't! Not because they are lazy bums or not doing their very best, because shit is genuinely hard out here. The median is pointless here. The number you are drawing from is all Americans ages of 15 and up (239,100,000 Americans) that make more than $1 a year. The mean which was the average of the entirety of that demographic was actually 59k a year. Which is reported everywhere. You're grabbing the median income when the group for this statistic starts at age 15. You see even more different numbers if you go from 25 and up, where most ADULT Americans are around the 50k mark. Look it up, you'll see that most americans ages 21 to 24 on average make around 30k a year, same for 16-19. With all of those in the mix at 15 and up, definitely do not go based off the median, because after 25 we see a drastic jump in individual income.

When you're youngest is objectively when you're going to be the most poor unless you come from a rich family, so this mentality basically craps on anyone, specifically any woman who dates a man her own age. Crazy

When I got married to my wife, I was broke. I was in the military and only making 17k a year. She did help build me up then and still does to this day. I now have been married for 18 years and we own and operate multiple businesses. A good working relationship doesn't take lots of money, it takes lots of work. Team work! It's much easier for 2 people to build an empire than one.

Many blessings to you both. These beautiful love stories warm my heart. My husband and I also started at the "bottom of the barrel", our first "place" together was a room we rented at his aunt's house. At that point, we felt on top of the world because we finally had a place we could call ours. Today our combined income is welllll in the 6 figures, every single thing and penny we have, we earned together, and we have a beautiful son. Strong supportive couple are still here. We're still here. I wish you and your wife the very best.

Blue collar men that sustain society get so much hate for no reason🤷🏽♂️

@@dynamichunter843da fuck u talking about. You literally just proved his point. Doesn't matter if a blue collar man works 12hrs or not... without men like us, society would collapse in a matter of days. Instead of being a prick, why don't you back your fellow brothers. All this hate ain't necessary.

Lol nine times out of ten the woman handing you the water is a placeholder. You disrespect that woman cheat on that woman and mistreat her like she is supposed to stay during your come up. Then when you finally “made it” you leave her for the woman you really want. Stop it!

4:25 _”Women don’t care about a man’s personal struggles, they hang out at the finish line and pick the winners.”_ Now don’t have a problem with women who use this strategy. I have a problem with their attitudes when it comes to it. They don’t understand there is a plethora of other women cheering on that 10% man. But they “feel” those 10% men should still have to compete for them instead of the other way around. When they see they’re not getting chose, they go on the internet and do their bitter rants(where are all the good men at). Which if they spent a little time doing little self evaluation of themselves and ask what are those other women doing that I am not doing to get that 10% man, they’d realize their flaws. But nope they’ll continue down the road of shaming, insulting, and guilting those men into picking them. Which by far hasn’t work and will never work because those 10% have more option then them.

DANG... My parents who were married 40 years, loved each other, were best friends, went on simple movie & lunch dates, sat & talked & laughed with each other daily, shared responsibilities of the home & family, supported each other, set an example of what marriage looks like for the whole neighborhood AND set the tone for my expectations of relationships... WERE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL‼️WoW 🤯🥴 My Daddy, rest his soul, used to say "IF I gotta dime, then you gotta nickel" cause he supported his family through it all 🙏🏾 💯 Folks please know that GOOD, QUALITY, HIGH VALUE men & women still exist... We just have to find each other 🤞🏾BLESSINGS ✌🏾

The sad reality is that people nowadays place value on superficial things. Money, cars, the house you own, status, the brands you wear, how attractive you are, and integrity and character are completely disregarded and not of importance anymore. It really does make it hard to find genuine people
