For what it's worth, I am an M.S. patient with neuropathy and fairly regular leg spasms if I over use my legs too much. I have used CBD in the past for the pain and stiffness, but never really saw any serious relief. In the end, my neurologist prescribed the synthetic THC (Nabilone) which did have an effect on the pain and neuropathy, but it came with side effects and that's where I am now. That's my personal experience and I'm not saying that CBD has no value, but THC is what is helping with my symptoms.

I'm 80. I have congenital scoliosis that is getting more painful as I age. I have tried just about everything the doctors have to offer. I use a topical CBD ointment that has proved to be THE most effective at pain management. It matters to me not at all if the relief is imaginary or real...the main thing is that for me It works to help relieve my back pain. I have had 12 spinal surgeries since a sporting injury in 1982. I have tried everything multiple times. CBD with or without THC did nothing. One thing that I did notice is that THC has a calming effects which reduces the stress associated with chronic pain and allowed me to sleep with fair consistency. I'm still waiting for the miracle drug. BTW: I also had multiple spinal cord stims implanted that caused far more problems than the benefit of a small percentage of my pain being masked. In the USA, THC in any form precludes you from being able to take any prescription pain med. So, I take a small dose of methadone (cheap, effective with no side effects) and go off of it every few months for a couple of weeks. I sleep in 1-2 hr segments averaging 4-6 hrs a day and try to be functional 3-4 days a week. The rest of the time I try to avoid being around anyone. Chronic spinal pain is a terrible way to live.

I take one 1:5 THC:CBD gummy (10:50mg) and find the pain relief from chronic venous ulcers and osteoarthritis to be amazing. Yes, there is a small amount of buzz equivalent to having one drink of alcohol that lasts much longer but it is very mild. I started making my own CBD oil from a cannabis plant I grew in our vegetable garden but was unable to isolate the THC so I ended up making a topical cream for joint pain. When I combined the homemade cbd oil with magnesium chloride/water (using a lecithin binder) it vastly improved the pain relief for arthritis as it became transdermal. I don't think any of it is perfect, but it does provide tangible pain relief.

Her mother begged the government to let her go to Colorado to get a certain strain of CBD oil that was known to work for epilepsy, the government didn't care and threatened to jail her if she tried to bring it across state lines, she was forced to move there and, started the treatments which reduced the seizures to almost non existent and saved the child's life, the strain was named Charlotte's Web after the little girl.

My youngest sister was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer. She had people telling her to try CBD to ease her discomfort/nausea that she was experiencing from her chemo and radiation treatments. She decided to give it a try, but in her case, that was a huge mistake! She only put one drop of it onto her tongue and immediately started to go into anaphylactic shock! She had to be rushed to the hospital! For what it's worth, she had also developed severe allergies to other things, one of which was morphine. She would go into anaphylactic shock immediately when exposed to these things, and the allergy to morphine was discovered before she came down with the cancer. If anyone is wondering, her cancer went into remission for about four years. We were hoping that she was going to be okay, but she contracted COVID, got pneumonia from that, and was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer shortly afterwards. We lost her about a year after that.
