I know I've said this before, but I love that you really critically look at these older licensed titles and give them their fair shake. I've discovered some unexpected gems myself, like Yu-Gi-Oh Falsebound Kingdom or the NES Felix the Cat, the latter I highly recommend to any retro platforming fan

I'm fairly certain Felix has gotten pricey :( But yeah, discovering a game you've never heard of is always an awesome experience :)

I remember having this game on the gamecube. The load times on that version were cripplingly long. this framerate also dropped considerably during ring sections.

I would recomend the Xbox version, but then you're still stuck playing Finding Nemo :(

It's over a decade too late to reverse that decision. It was the players choice version from what I recall.

(7:22) Dory looks VERY happy despite being chased by a giant shark! 😂 It looks like Dory is glitched on your copy of the game because I think she’s supposed to have her mouth closed most of the time and not look like she’s frozen in excitement. However, I say the glitch makes the whole game better! 😅

One thing you missed, the final completion bonus is another teamwork level, but with all three characters. Probably not worth the tedium to get there but I always thought it was the best level.

I remember loving this game as a kid I had it on PS2 but yeah it did had bad loading times but I gave credit to Traveller's Tale they have great music in they're games.

I can appreciate this game. It can be repetitive, but the free swimming in 2D feels very fun.

9:14 Apparently, Crush and Nigel were originally going to be playable characters in this game and there were going to be three levels where we could play as Nigel on land. Too bad they were cut especially Nigel, who doesn't appear in the game at all.

It's nice to see Traveller's Tales make a licensed-movie game in the 6th-gen that isn't broken, but what we have here is so by-the-basics it's just forgettable. It also doesn't help that only half of the gameplay is actually good while the other half is tedious.

Kind of wish Traveller's Tales would take a quick Lego break and try their hands at platformers again!

Did this remind you of Ecco the dolphin in any way? With the rings, occasional third person bits, rubbish puzzles and obviously being underwater I'm seeing some pretty strong similarities

Well, Finding Nemo didn't make me want to throw my controller through the TV, so it has that going for it :D

@@implantgames I was looking for these comments, haha! I guess Finding Nemo's very frustrating, whereas Ecco's a psychological weapon designed to evoke our most primal states of rage and despair.

Great review man!. I just picked this game up today for the OG Xbox collection. It is going directly on the shelf, I will not be wasting time by playing it. Only paid 50p for it, so no big deal lol

I put this in expecting garbage and instead got an amazing game with amazing visuals and unique gameplay elements that worked with the style of the game. It did a great job incorporatating moments from the game too.

I think that the music of this game sounds like the music of both A Bug's Life and Toy Story 2 for PS1 and Crash Bandicoot The Wrath Of Cortex and I enjoy the soundtrack of those 3 games

I dunno how to feel about this game, as I watched this video I felt pretty nostalgic for remembering the music, sounds, gameplay and animations, it was in fact the first ever PS2 game I've ever played and owned :/ it could have been so much more honestly

The GameCube version is bad. It has a poor frame-rate, low resolution, which makes the mind field level harder than it was, and has slow loading times.

Pretty sure Nemo has a birth defect because his mom drank non-organic milk when she was cookin him in her belly. What's not told is how she killed herself. I mean have you heard the dad speak. Worst disney character ever. Somebody give me some cutlery and stat! No wonder she offed herself.
