My reluctance to seek God alone disappeared as my love of this world diminished over decades. I have no wish to remain in this world of disappointment, decay,, and death. When our life has become like a minefield and a boot camp, we begin to see how precious and wonderful the LORD's offer of salvation is. My heart has been mercilessly pierced by this world, and healed by the one to come. Suffering now on earth is a gift and glory to God, for which we will receive 100 times in recompense.

I have never understood fear of the Lord until I heard this podcast. This makes perfect sense. Fear of God is actually a magnet to Him.

For people who don't know the Gospel/Scripture, it is. But for those who know the Word of God are on the process and striving to have a full dedication to God. God knows the limitations of people, that's why God intervenes for those who decided to follow the foot steps of Jesus.

Father God, thank you we may serve you through our words and deeds, thank you for forgiveness where we may fail in our own strength. Lord, in accordance with this word and psalm 86:11, psalm 25:14, jeremiah 32:39, psalm 90:14, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I loosen for myself, my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ to be united in heart and action every single day and anew through fear of God, while loosening myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those dividing the heart through lack of reverence of God, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

Jeremiah 17:24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein; Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Hold fast to Christ, nothing else in this life can satisfy our hearts, He holds you in his palm, and loves you more than you can ever know. Please listen to He Will Hold Me Fast by Keith and Kristyn Getty, bringing some strong emotion and something you can hear and feel and sing with can be such a boon. I will be praying for you brother, life is so often so hard.

Isn't a "divided heart" issue the same as the "spirit versus the flesh" issue as described by Paul in Romans?
@brixiemandal38782 жыл бұрын
I thought so, too! The flesh and the spirit are fighting each other, and sometimes we feel as though our hearts resist God but it was actually our flesh, and sometimes we worship God, and because the flesh cannot worship God, hence we attribute it to the Spirit, a proof that we are saved. That's what I've been fighting for lately. It's hard to have a divided heart, where your flesh and spirit are fighthing, and sometimes find the flesh to overcome the spirit. But God willing, may we all have a single, united heart for Christ and Christ alone!

Is a divided heart what Jesus refers to as Luke warm?
@ravin31912 жыл бұрын
no I would say a Luke warm Christian is a person who likes the benefits of being a Christian but don't want the take up your cross part of it(still want the world). a divided heart is a Christian is someone who wants to know God more but is facing resistance in there heart (mind)against fully letting in God. requires you too pray to God to unite your heart to fear and reverence him

You know, this isn’t related to the topic of this video, but I just wanted to say… I know this question might sound distasteful, but… Is it considered okay to have disdain towards the modern world? I’m just feeling fed up with it right now. I know, it’s hard to say something like that, but… still… I know the Bible says to not be conformed to it, but I’m saying this in a way where I just can’t relate/stand this world or modern humanity. In fact, (this is going to seem harsh. I’m sorry!) I loathe it today. I’m sorry!! That’s me. I don’t think it’s Christ - like for someone to say that, but I thought it would be, somewhat, okay(?) to say it here. I guess…? I apologize.

Nobody seems real anymore. On this Earth, that is.
@harley66592 жыл бұрын
I understand what you’re saying. I would say having disdain for the world is born of the Spirit. However we must be careful that this doesn’t lead to disdain towards people. We must understand that for those still in the world, they are bound spiritually to it in cords of sin. As we have been freed we must reach to these people and preach freedom in Christ- this is the most loving action we can perform. It is perfectly fine to hold contempt against the world, after all it is a monument to sin and pride, but we must show a Christ-like grace, gentleness, and loveliness towards the people in the world.
