Hey Layne, do you have any detailed videos on digestion in general that talk in detail about myths surrounding 'Growth Hormones' or other 'chemicals' in non-organic foods and how they effect us? I would really love to know more about that subject from a trusted source. Your explanation here on how growth hormones in animals isn't a negative - is blowing my mind. Love the content sir!

Ive heard from unrelated sources that its chemical structure would give no indication that it either exerts an incredibly toxic effect or stays in the body for any long period of time such as actual toxic and severely detrimental chemicals that are known. In the end its not completely, but probably relatively benign compared to the big scare it causes, but still, i wouldnt drink a cup full of it

There is a difference between pasteurized and unpasteurized milk. Unpasteurized is a small risk but high reward. You get enzymes, beneficial bacteria, vitamins, electrolytes; pretty much everything your body needs. The small risk is contamination.
@Macatho
@Macatho 6 ай бұрын
Sigh, this is information you've gotten from exactly the same type of sources Layne debunks every day/week... There is a reason why we pasteurize milk, because this "small" risk is just too high when you sell milk to a 100 million people. It's quite obviously everything your body needs because it's 100% what calves eat... jfc And no, the reward is not high. Go to pubmed and read a study.

I lived on a small farm for 2 years back in the early 1970's and we had cows. We got fresh milk and butter daily. I was healthy and had good bone density when I went to the doctor. But I ate a variety of foods in moderation. Thanks for the video.

A1/A2 casein cow milk makes me mucous filled AF, so I avoid because I don't like sneezing and blowing my nose constantly. A2 only cow milk, goat milk, and sheep milk don't have this effect on me whatsoever. Well cultured forms (particularly yogurt) of A1/A2 casein milk also doesn't bother me. Many years ago, when I stopped drinking cow milk, I switched to soy milk thinking, "this is going to be better". To my surprise and disappointment, the soy milk also made me a mucous factory, and was actually worse for gassiness and bloating. Something I have been wondering about is the effect of full and extra fat cow milk dairy on male testosterone levels? I've heard conflicting things about it. I'm avoiding the full and extra fat versions of dairy until I see more conclusive evidence one way or another.

Gallon of Milk A Day (GOMAD) protocol is for extremely underweight young men who are actively training and trying to put on a lot of strength and muscular bodyweight and are currently an emaciated beanstalk full of hormones, and even then it's only mean to be done for a short period of time - maybe a couple weeks if that. It should be done in combination with heavy strength training, Pressing, Squatting, Deadlifting, when the person is a newb and is adding weight to the bar quickly during the initial linear progression. It should only be done to close the gap when someone is pitifully underweight but ready to grow FAST. Otherwise just eat food and you'll grow fine. Don't get into the "you can never eat too much" mindset trying to get jacked. Getting really fat is unnecessary and it can creep up on you quickly.

Notes: According to data having some milk/dairy daily is not bad in anyway, but has been shown in some studies to correlate with denser bones. We do not get growthhormone from animals that are injected with it, that's not how it works. Science does not show that GMO is dangerous for us.
