In my country, mutual masturbation and head is considered foreplay. You need actual penetration and ejaculation for it to be considered sex according to the nuns.

Kae, you touched briefly on the factor of not using mind-enhacing drugs or alcohol when having sexual contact with others, especially the same gender. I have felt that for many years, more than 30 years now, and have told people I don't care to use those substances, as I like my head to be clear when I have a sexual interaction with another man, so I can enjoy the experience. I know some people consider me to be "weird," yet I been able to thoroughly enjoy sex much better while not "using," for me alcoholic beverages, and later regretting it [being very sick once after an attempted encounter was enough to "cure me," for good]. My current partner asked me if I used poppers, and I don't, as not only does that smell awful to me, but even being around it in the bathhouse - years ago now - gave me a HORRIBLE headache! So, no thanks, gents, I don't do the scene as others do, first, and definitely don't "use" the mind-altering substances, as it decreases the enjoyment of the encounter, immensely, for me. My partner understands and respects my non-use of poppers for enhancing the encounter, and has agreed to not use it around me.

Thank you Kae for speaking on this topic. I myself are not into penetration sex. I have tryed it and its really not my thing at all. To me sex between to guys is just so much more then penetration. I am more into soft touch ,kissing ,cuddle. massage and so on. Unfortunatly I do feel many young gay men feel a pressure to even be a top or a bottom. But there is so much more wonderful you can do together as to men 🥰

Thanks for this. For many reasons, both physical and psychological, I find that some of my most amazing sexual experiences center on mutual masturbation, and just plain body contact. The predominance of the "top/bottom" duality exploded in the very early 2,000's. This wasn't a "thing" when I was in my teens and 20's (1980's-1990's). I'm not sure why, but I suspect the internet has had a lot to do with it. Thanks for addressing this issue. From a 53 y/o "side"!😉
