If you think Saban is coming you’re delusional as hell

If SABAN going to coach again it will be at WVU. Chance of him coaching again is 1out of 100. He will like the commentary role once a week.

Mullen had the potential with his gameday abilities, he just didn’t want to work hard in the offseason, Even McElwain started 5-0 and looked unstoppable until his QB got suspended for the OTC supplement. I thought Napier was the guy, he just seems to be a tier 3 coach at best and is in over his head in preparation and game day coaching

I love my Gators, but let have a honest conversation. I’m not sure we can attract Kiffin or someone at that level. We are Florida, a top 5 job, but between a President who is open about not caring about athletics. An incompetent AD who is doing the bare minimum to keep his job. A Collective who can’t get on the same page as the UAA, and a fan base that is getting dangerously close to apathy. We are a calamity of errors that screams “stay away” I fear what we would have to do to get on the right track is replace everyone from the top down and reset the entire UAA…..that takes years.

Always such a flawed argument. Anyone remember Bama the decade leading up to Saban? Anyone wanna rattle off the championships for Ugaly prior to Smart? College football is dominated by dominant Head coaches. "You are only good because of elite coach X or elite coach Y." ...... Yea. That's almost always how it works.
@philipmarsh3522Ай бұрын
Every three years when Florida fires its coach these radio (and now KZbin) channels come up with the most outlandish possible hires. Florida will hire another “up and comer” for the next three-year term. The last kind of big name Florida hired was Spurrier, who was coaching Duke. Urban Meyer was close as the next up and comer but every other hire has been a second-tier coach. Fatigue will set in soon for most programs - you can’t build anything in the NIL age since your rival can literally buy your players with no competitive restrictions. In a few years the only programs worth watching will be the football obsessed schools with average academics. I don’t think Florida wants to play in that arena any more.

Joe Brady will be perfect for Florida call him up he is a Florida guy

Whoever that texter is hasn't been paying attention. It has only been 3 years since Dan Mullen went to three NY6 bowls in a row, the Gators have won the SEC, and every coach since Meyer has won the division or the conference. That's not the definition of a 500 program. Florida's most losses before Napier was above 500 except for years when coaches were fired and an interim took over. Florida is a national brand as big as Michigan and Ohio State. Alabama is special because they were a dynasty for over a decade. Nobody is Alabama. Florida is a national brand that can attract big name coaches. Nick Saban is in the thumbnail. He isn't coming back to coaching so just get that out of your head. Have you seen how much fun he's having now that he isn't chasing perfection? Even if he did come back, the environment of college football has passed him by. NIL, rev share, portal, all that doesn't work with Saban's old school style. The same is true for Urban Meyer. Get both those guys out of your heads, Florida fans. Ole Miss is not a national brand. So, Kiffen might be interested because he's dying to prove himself as a legendary coach. His ceiling would be higher at Florida because it has that national brand recognition. Kiffen at Ole Miss will be in the playoffs every 3 or 4 years. Kiffen at Florida could be in the playoffs or the national title game every year. Go Gators

Not only no but hell no on Saban. What is wrong with you?! The next HC has to understand NIL/Portal/Collective. He has to get recruiting the State of Florida. He has to be able to be flexible and change. He has to be able to talk to boosters. He has to be younger than 60. He has to understand the NEW landscape of CFP. So no Saban or Kelly or Urban. Name chasing is just as stupid as the decision to hire Napier. And do you trust Stricklin to get it right? I don’t.
