Is Nitrogen important in Flowering?
Nitrogen plays a bigger role then we realize in flowering.
It has a relation to Potassium that of matched will max out your production.

Optimal N:K ratio for flowering = 1:1.5 (actual ppm of NO3- vs K+) Btw, don't forget to multiply K number on your product by 0.83 to get real % weight of soluable/plant available form (K+) since Potassium is listed by most fertilizer companies as K2O which is an outdated measurement. There is actually no K2O in the product at all. Same goes for Phosphorus listed as P2O5 which is again outdated, it's not in the product. P must be multiplied by 0.44 to get real amount of P in it's soluable/plant available form which is H2PO4-. So for example if your bottle shows NPK 10-10-10 the actual % weight ratio of these elements is 10-8.3-4.4.

A science background is a great help, but not necessary to grow some great buds. Most of what's online is regurgitation of the same concepts over and over without understanding why. It's great to see a fellow scientist explaining the methods and reasoning to a point. I enjoy Perfect Gardens content and actually thought there was more of a background in science, but this shows the love in accumulating information to get great results. I love the products presented on the channel. I still stick to KISS method with super soil that never fail.

Along the lines of N in flower, anyone here look into one nute ponies like megacrop and how something like that is handled in flower? Company says the consistent N is no problem into flower but several other growers out there aren't on board with that concept. While there's people out there who swear by it that doesn't mean the results are stellar from a consumption standpoint. I doubt I've seen anyone more qualified who's accessible than you Mark!

your larfing pre harvest may well be stimulating plant's thc and terp production....problem is, there's a limit to this, as you start yanking leaves that are best left to continue their photosynthetic processes....and if you are yellowing out, you just keep pulling leaves....,this is what I suspect you are referring to with your K issues you mention.......are you synthetic feeding or compost tea feeding?.......I ask cause compost tea feeding will yield less of this die off stuff where you over larf the plant.......like this guy mentions here with feeding and larfing messing the soil, but I suspect this is as much related to feeding methods like synthetics as opposed to tea feeding......you won't get the nutrient burn with gentle tea feeding mid flower........ for outside, I think tea feeding in September keeps the leaves healthier, mitigating disease through that end of sep/oct period crap wet, cold period..... without this, you can end up over larfing to try controlling issues, to the point where you do too much, essentially telling the plant, you have no solar panels left, just die already.

@@curiousbystander9193 I feed organic dry amendments and the only bottle I’m using for my notill is a plant ferment. I’m on my seventh run in the same pot and it was grow number 3 when the clover took over and this run number 7 that I had a problem. Both times I was chopping and dropping a lot. Usually I feed all the green to my worms and use the finished compost for the plants if needed.

Get a laser temp gun. Leaf surface temp 82-83F, that equals 87F in my room...hot, 70-75%RH, board shorts and flip flops...hot. That's without CO2, you can go at least 5F hotter if you supplement CO2 and can stand working in there. I run that until week 4 of flower, then taper lower until finish. I had to go sealed room once I switched to LED, it's cold around here and I couldn't get the room warm enough half the year and I wasn't about to pay for heat in a room I'd just been paying to cool. More $ then I'd planned on spending, but worth it now. I'd been adding CalMag, just because and once my environment was dialed it was messing up my plants. Most Ca problems are environment problems, if your plants are transpiring, they should have plenty of Ca, if they aren't it doesn't matter how much you add.

@denniskartes1302

Ambient CO2 outside is around 400 ppm. When "using" co2,folks will push that ambiance to 900 ppm. Plants uptake far more CO2 (carbon) than they do npk,and you can exploit that by adding the supplemental CO2. Cheers 🥂

@@justinferguson9779 adding CO2 only makes sense,if all the other parameters are met first.
