Punch build has been so strong since before 3.0. It hasn’t really changed until prismatic came along. I am amazed they didn’t nerf it and I’ve been using it since beyond light when I started playing. The only thing it was missing was a strong super and then gathering storm came out. When I saw the prismatic stuff for Hunter and the class item, this exact combo made me think arc Hunter is dead. It’s so strong I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Go with Liar + Assassin. You can get explosions with the artifact mod, and you can go invisible without stylish executioner, which allows you to spam winter’s shroud/threaded spectre. It’s definitely the best punchy hunter build I’ve used, and I’m looking forward to trying it with Choir of One.

Phantom Phister Build: Assassin's Cowl, Combo Blow, Gambler's Dodge. Punch n kill enemy, dodge near another enemy, rinse repeat. So go invis, fist enemy, dodge, do again.

That’s literally a version of a build I run on onslaught. But I run a linear until we clear a tormentor and the call with the brave fragment. After each melee kill I’ll fire shots into the bigger targets that are still standing. Unraveling rounds take care of the beefier targets passively while I keep punching ads. -How did he get into a solo match in onslaught without matchmaking

It just makes me sad that Titan melee builds don't have nearly this much synergy in them. The only one that does is Strand, mayyyybe Prismatic if it wasn't for the fact that Consecration spam is the only genuinely viable Prismatic Titan build. This is just a symphony of beautiful synergy between everything in the kit at play, not just one thing thats bumped up slightly by the tools in play. This is a true melee build for Hunters, and us Titans can only weep. At least we got new tools coming for the non melee builds finally

I feel like onslaught has some bugs in it especially getting pass wave 30 enemies just straight up spawn on the adu or teleport to it and some times the adu takes damage out of no where even with the whole wave being dead.

Dont activate 1-2 punch if you are invis. Damage buff from coming out of invis is higher than 1-2 punch and 1-2 punch overrides it. Saving ammo and doing more damage is a win win.

As a punchy hunter, it irritated me that he didn't use the the liars handshake correctly. If he does it well, you dont even need shotgun and liars handshake can one punch champ without shotgun.

No you are spot on, thats how its done, if you have 3 stacks of combination blow, have sheild crush on the artifact and can proc crosscounter and go invis the next punch is insane, think it stacks to like 2000% extra damage. Watching this was hurting my brain.

Like if a meta build is good then fine but having all of the good builds that make it far are meta builds is lame. Add like a originality stat if the build is good to boost points or like a consistency/ feels smooth stat as well. I think o rigs are better for more ad control and an LMG for heavy. Rockets are shit and don’t do crit damage. The aoe from melee and shatter damage is plenty

I personally dont think caliban is good for liar...because the exosions kill the enemies so youhave less enemies to punch and to regenerate on and build up combustion strike times 5. Meanwhile assassin would be better coz u become invis even if your melee does not proc. Life saver. Calibans explosion is more a life ruiner
