Thanks again. Your Himalayan450 vids continue to reassure me about laying a deposit down even before actually laying my eyes, hands & backside on the bike which hopefully arrive by early April. They said initially Mid-March, but that has been & gone. These are the things which are important to me, Ergonomics, Suspension, gear ratios to suit, power & vibration at freeway speed, breaking, balance at crawl speed, oil capacity, fuel capacity & km/L (Rang), fat bars a bonus, slipper clutch (new for me). I have a long inseam (850mm 33.5") plus boots, so I may need the touring seat for comfort and a slight lift. We have no info on any of the accessories like the Rally bash plate, a must-have, Adventure seat, Rear mount plate & possibly radiator grill. All I can do is translate Rupee to Australian Dollars + 30%(a guess) Thanks again, cheers from downunder. 👍 PS: I feel better sending my money to India than China. If RE do a 600 Twin Himalayan, I would cry tears of joy.

Sir, I became your fan with this video. You touched upon the right aspects of good and comfortable motorcycling that many other youtubers ignore or just don't elaborate on. The discussion about posture and feet position while touring (4:30 in the video) is what I have been trying to teach my son. Shared the video with him and hopefully he becomes a subscriber too. Kudos to you and CK sir for the great informational videos. Hope to meet you sometime soon in your workshop.

Semma… I love the way how you break this up in parts & so simple… just one observation from half of your experience.. that foot position on the peg.. city vs touring needs to be articulated more… while touring people cruise at different speeds… for someone cursing at 120kmph+ moving the foot to switch gear or break will have very less time, hence I would recommend to always stay put at mid feet level where all one needs to do is to move feet up or down… reaction time is critical especially on highways & high speeds!

As usual spot on Bosskey and CK.. as a middle aged rider, I ride a meteor 350 and a Yamaha R3. I feel comfortable in R3 after 3-4 hours of ride because it has a slightly bent riding position. Road undulations and shocks don't hit your spine in R3. However in meteor because of its upright riding stance your spine will get a portion of taste of what your tyres are upto.

Wow! I was looking for the right positioning of my arms and my favorite gurus have done just that. I'm very comfortable on my newly bought adv390x. Only concern is that my right wrists hurt a bit especially the bone on the outer side. More pressure is exerted on my right wrist. Will follow your technique! I do not want to spend on handlebar raisers or a different handlebar until I exhaust all the options and moreover it also helps me to learn the characteristics of the bike. Thanks a lot!

I feel a lot of tiredness on my shoulder and palms when driving for more than 6 hours. I did more than 8 hours on xpulse in mountains and never felt that. Then I checked my angles of hand to handle bar it was slightly angled and not neutral. So after driving for about 2000 km I think introducing an inch riser will fix that issue. Also handle bar grips from route 95 is helping with handle bar vibration.

You can consider attending riding lessons.
@the_wind_walker10 ай бұрын
Apart from attending classes. What you can do is stimulate leaning of bike while standstill at your home. Let your body feel the weight. Lean it pick it up while progressively increasing load on your legs. This way your body will get used to sudden load when bikes starting to lean standstill in traffic. Also strengthen your leg muscles by doing weight training in gym or home. You will skill up in no time and enjoy your ride more. Cheers ✌🏻

@ulricz10 ай бұрын
Got this fixed for my bike today, going this is helpful for you. 1. Handlebar alignment left and right has to be correct. 2. Can't confirm this without a mechanic : maybe having a look at the cone set is a good idea. 3. Sometimes if the weight balance of the bike is more on the right because of the silencer, can happen if you use a aftermarket exhaust. 4. Your own posture, all of us are built differently and default to certain sides because of various issues we have with our body. Best to have a look.at yourself also and check your alignment too 😁 Safe riding.
