Does the water fuzz consider this acceptable for the life jacket requirement on a kayak?

It's a Type III PFD which is totally acceptable under NC regulations. I've never been questioned by water fuzz ever about my PFD's. I've only been stopped twice however in my career on a kayak. I wouldn't wear this type in the ocean or in a raging river of fast water. All other waters, yes.
