The three piece shaft design is for ease of repairs. this allows you to seperate the axle from the truck without possibly stripping or losing the tiny thru pins

Bought one a few weeks ago and took it on vacation with me. I tried it out in a fairly long and bumpy driveway and a yard full of deep grass. It handled both very well despite snagging leaves and grass. Its biggest issue I felt was the rear suspension stiffness and lack of shocks. In the rear the leaf springs tend to flex forward of the axle and don’t move much in the rear. It could do with an anti wrap bar and some shocks with more give in them. The front is the same, a bit stiffly sprung. I’m new to this whole thing but I think I’ll play around with it more and maybe look into giving it softer springs. All told? For the price it’s awfully good so long as you keep its limits in mind. The one I got I paid 64 for it and it came with 2 1200mv upgraded batteries, one of which lasted the entire week and was still doing good when I unplugged it to bring it home

I own the yellow one and the red one and 2 of my friends have the yellow one. Red one has no drag brake, yellow has a very good strong drag brake.

You get drag brake if you push th rate button,the slower speed got drag brake

@topqualityfi8216 nope. I have 3 friends and myself with red version and none have drag brakes in either mode. But the tan ones we have have strong drag brakes. The tan one can push the red one no problem but the red ones can't move the tan ones cause the drag brake is so strong.

You can soa, put the leaf spring over axle,and take rear leaf screw off and make it same as the front attatchment on the leaf,and it will flex

None of the epl or mm model trucks are “rock crawlers” they’re trail trucks that can crawl some light stone paths but they’re really suited for scale driving experience.
