You're absolutely right, this is not your typical wheel house guitar. With that said, I am going to say that I'm very impressed at your ability to take whatever guitar you demo and come up with a "noodling" opener that can mesmerize and inspire. Surgical tubing inside springs will do a similar effect to springs & a little bit more visually pleasing. Some of the higher end boutique guitars do that strategy. The resin could viewed as ocean sand ,inside shore break surf punk metal guitar 🤙🏽🤘🏽

Thanks a lot for this honest review! 👍Some of the green version (in terms of their top layer pattern) look pretty astonishing. 😎And for this price this intrument seems to have a really good value. I'm not surprised they sell out so quickly. Though I'm not a fan of active pickups, so I would change them to a Seymour Duncan JB set. And instead of the current "V" neck profile I'd prefer a very very very slim C or D shaped neck profile, also locking tuners on it. Maybe the next iteration of the series will have those features...? 🤔 It would be great for sure.🙂

I pulled the trigger (for a green one “on sale” from their website). I have 3 different quality level guitars from Leo Jaymz. All are very nice. This art piece is heavy man, 8.67 lbs. Neck has very nice feel. Too bad we can’t post pictures here.

You can get active pickups that splits coils. Dual Modes. Mute the spring noise sliding shrink wrap over each spring. Drop D and chug with bar cords.

I really enjoy your honest analysis of affordable guitars and accessories, your somewhat offbeat humoUr and apparent enjoyment is truly entertaining. What worries me about your site and reviews is the potential for manufacturer selecting "cream of the crop" examples from the assembly line or selective production of outright "ringers". I don't know how this could be avoided other than you grabbing retail examples anonymously, this could be funded by the manufacturer, but they could not channel the source as easily. Just a thought, keep up the good work. (-:

That thing is buttnasty. The other two colors are semi decent. I heard these have a great neck but the whole active electronics needs to go. The Tempest by Leo Jaymz is basically the same guitar without the wack acrylic top for 100$ less.

Motherboard would be the board that all the other pedals come from. So the real motherboard should only have the basic old circuits on it. Fancy children of those circuits would need to be on some other board.
