This is why communication is key. You can suggest that you want him home more and if he doesn’t take the necessary steps to get there, than just leave; don’t poison the man.

@Potter Chambers My family has a close friend who is also a veteran, served in the Navy, and he told me this. "If you're on tour two to three times you're serving your country. Any more than that then you either have nothing to go back to or you're running from something." I've met members of the military who have nothing but the military and are practically estranged from their family and friends. The wife should've either communicated him or just left him.

It's the typical female crime. The one that perpetuates the witches stigma back then. The only time this would fail on its head is if the wife is a terrible cook since they usually have access to the food that the household eats. It's expected for a woman to learn how to cook well at least where I am from. I can already imagine the mother in law being the devil if she is bad at cooking.

@@SheryAwan123 It’s LEGAL?! That’s insane! The fact that she was intentionally harming her own, very young, child just makes me even more disgusted and infuriated. Münchausen by proxy is a very real thing and it should be known more among the world. Sadly this leads to the victim eventually dying from being poisoned and/or given medication to the victim that they didn’t even need and causing permanent and tragic side effects because their carer claimed that person had an illness. Sometimes it can lead to murder, as I’m sure we all know and have heard of the case of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and the murder of her mother (and abuser). I was shocked when it was revealed that Gypsy’s mother (DeeDee Blanchard) had been making her daughter HORRIFICALLY sick basically every since she was born to the point of losing her hair and destroying her teeth among many many other intentional health problems that Dee Dee caused because Dee Dee LOVED AND CRAVED the attention, donations, events, etc that Gypsy was given with Dee Dee right there by her side with a big smile on her face loving every single second of it. Dee Dee put her poor daughter through hell. Personally I think Gypsy deserved a MUCH lighter prison sentence and actually should’ve been sent to a psychiatric facility rather than jail. Gypsy deserves to be a free woman at this point. She has suffered her entire damn life by the hands of her mother and now she is just sitting in a jail cell but honestly it’s probably much better to Gypsy rather than having to remain in that hellhole of a home with her mother. It’s no coincidence that Gypsy ended up perfectly healthy as soon as she was no longer being “treated” by her mother. I do feel very bad for Gypsy’s then boyfriend that actually committed the murder though, especially during his confession because it was very clear that he had some mental delays (I’m not sure what exactly he was diagnosed with). He didn’t have an attorney with him and I feel like the detectives knew that he could easily be manipulated and wasn’t all there. Of course, murder was not the answer for this. I do wish Gypsy would’ve just went to the police station and told them everything that her mother did to her and even a simple check up and medical tests could’ve proven that Dee Dee did this to her daughter. I wud that Gypsy would’ve been able to just run away from her home and seek real help so she wouldn’t be stuck in prison today. I’m not sure how much longer her prison sentence is, but somehow I hope she gets released really soon and finally gets to experience what true *freedom* is like and get to actually explore the world as the real, healthy person she is, someone who can WALK (and not confined to a wheelchair that she never truly needed t begin with) for once in her life.

It only takes one person and one very bad decision. She could have easily given him an ultimatum-- No more tours or we're done. No more tours, or I'm going/not going to do x, y, z. If she's expressed herself to him and he didn't listen, or didn't take her seriously, that's on him, but from what I'm seeing in this clip (I haven't seen the episode), I have doubts it. This is horrible. Her husband was clearly very passionate about being in the military and she took that away from him just because she felt like she wasn't seeing him enough. I half understand her pain of feeling like someone you love is going to die fighting and not come back. I was dating someone that was planning on going into the military and I was really worried about them going and doing that and them not coming back one day. So I thought it was the best option for them and I to break things off between us. She could've done something similar with her husband, if she was so worried about all of that she could've just divorced him and found a guy that wasn't planning on joining the military. Sure it would be a hard emotional thing to go through with that but, is it better to suffer from your emotions for however long it takes to realize it was for the best or to suffer with your emotions for another seven years maybe even more?

I think that Mrs Jackson, with decent legal advice, could go for an insanity defence. It is easy to see what level of stress she's under to the point where an irrational act or series of acts consistent with psychosis becomes almost inevitable. It won't save her marriage.
