@@mathyeuxsommet3119 The main goal of the legislation is to ensure that video games that you pay money for are left in a playable state after company support ends. This can mean releasing patches that remove server connection requirements or providing other options for playable. The key goal is to ensure that purchased products remain useful indefinitely and that video games can be preserved in a method similar to other media. You know the "You'll own nothing and like it" crowd? This is a direct refutation of that.

I am against the preservation of any game that this proposal would apply to, live service games are the scope of this and they're ... not good. But putting that aside Pirate Software made two videos on how this proposal is really trash and shouldn't be presented to lawmakers in that state. I support preventing platforms from revoking your game license without due cause, and I support legalizing piracy on art that is not commercially available anymore. The Disney thing is basically an idiotic tangent by their lawyers, rather than the more salient point that Disney's only real relationship to the case is as landlord to the restaurant that killed her. The lawyers for some reason didn't go with "we're not party to this, please remove us as a defendant from the lawsuit" but instead thought it was a good idea to list every time the plaintiff entered into an arbitration agreement with Disney, including that 5 year old streaming service trial and their park ticket, in justifying why it should be moved to arbitration so they could kill it. US diplomacy is failing ALL AROUND THE WORLD. I would describe the democratic's party (under Obama as well, but especially under Biden/Harris) diplomatic overtures as "just the tip" - always doing half measures and trying to placate both enemies and friends in equal measure is both stupid (since it does not achieve any results and drives your allies further away from you) and risky (since your enemies understand that US diplomacy is just a list of idle threats).

it fails because the US plan was adopted from the british mandate. to colonise the middle east in the early 1900's and then to maintain control over it. brainwashing people into thinking colonists have the right to be there. when colonies liek indonesia and INdia fell into independance, the british response was to ddouoble down. give more money and deadly weapons to Israel to maintain their monopoly of genocide towards the palestinian people, because israel was fucking things up SO MUCH. they had NO ALLIES in the middle east because israel kept killing and murdering negotiators, diplomats. and if they could not find them, just kill random civilians as revenge for NOT FINDING ANYONE ELSE. israel is a continues bloodbath, held together with the bullshit idea that it keeps things better. however. from an ecologiacal standpoint. israel is destroying the land there with invasive species and thier revenge on olive oil trees, destroying 95% of it there. their bombinbs that killed so many miles of ground hell, THE ONE REASON why israel TOOK SO MUCH LAND, is because they want to HIDE what they did there. because israel makes sure NO INVESTIGATIONS ARE DONE THERE. same with gaza. they want to TAKE GAZA, to hide what they did there. and this is the TIP. there is 75 years of brutality and genocide. evolved over those many years from merely killing hundreds of villages. into massive concentration camps, rape, starvation, destruction, murder, assassination. all to quell israels bloodlust for revenge. and what do you expect? israel was FOUNDED by bloodthirsty terrorists that continued to control the government? a government only in power by stelaing the resources from other countries and being funded by other countries. its horrific, the more you look into it.

So it has nothing to do with Republicans getting us into decades of Middle Eastern conflict under Bush and unilaterally withdrawing from treaties under Trump had nothing to do with it?
