Logan calling people "bub" is a signature of his from the comics. He also says "bub" in the first movie during the climax at the Statue of Liberty, even though it actually wasn't in the script. But Hugh Jackman slipped it into a scene as a little bit of fan service and they kept it in the movie. Needless to say, the fans loved it so they doubled up on the "bubs" in this movie. When Magneto talks of "the war", he's usually talking about mutants vs. humans. He's so militant because he believes that war between mutants and humans is inevitable. Due to his childhood experiences as a Holocaust survivor, he's seen humanity's intolerance firsthand and believes that it's only a matter of time until humanity starts rounding up mutants the way the Nazis started rounding up Jews.

It’s a Velcro duty belt for law enforcement. It consists of two belts; one with the fuzzy part of Velcro and one with the prickly part of Velcro. You thread the fuzzy belt through your belt loops and it secures to itself to hold your pants up. Then you put the other belt with the prickly bit over top of it. It’s secures to the other belt via Velcro and doesn’t go into the belt loops. The second belt has all of their gear on it; cuff cases, radio clip, baton/flashlight rings, key keeper, gun holster, pepper spray ect. This way you don’t need to individually put on and take off all of those items every day before and after your shift. You just take the outer Velcro belt off and stuff it in your locker and you’re left with a soft Velcro belt to wear home. Why that CO wore his uniform to a bar is anyone’s guess. Lets not badmouth actors for no reason here. With Rebecca Romijn, the studio was looking for an unknown model/actress willing to put with the uncomfortable makeup and partial nudity on set. She was in only a couple of scenes, which made the logisitics not so terrible. And she had very little negotiating power. With Jennifer Lawrence, they wanted a big name, even though she (IMHO) wasn't a perfect fit for the makeup and clearly wasn't going to love it. She also had much more screentime, which made the hours in the make-up chair very bad for the budget. And unlike Romijn, JLaw had the power to negotiate her working conditions. Let's be honest, the make-up didn't look great on her when they did it the traditional way in First Class, and it didn't look that much worse in the second movie. But the studio reaaally wanted her, so it's on them for not casting someone else.

Wolverines movie healing factor is 100 times faster than it was in the comics. They may have changed it in the comics to match the movies but in the comics originally he would heal much faster than regular peoples but not near-instantaneously. Many comics would end with him unconscious in the infirmary all bandaged up after taking massive damage( like at the end of the first movie) and he’d wake up healed a couple days later. The analogy of "coming out" is very much an overarching theme in the X-Men, as is the theme of any kind of registration for them. Mutants are the "others" group that's often marginalized and mistreated. It was Stan Lee's way of addressing that issue back in the 60s. Such great stuff!

Still, kinda random of Mystique to pull this outta nowhere. Apparently it was done just to get an image of Hugh and Halle in bed together. 17:19 In case you didn't pick up on it, this is what Mystique's actress looks like without the blue makeup. In the comics Wolverine was also known as Weapon X, which was a big mystery about what that meant. Eventually it was revealed that the X stood for 10. Wolverine was not the first, nor was he the last to have adamantine experiments done on them. As for the war both Stryker and Magneto talk about. Yes, a war between humans and mutants, a war Magneto continuously tries to instigate.

With enough strength and a solid tool (like a heavy screwdriver... Or a Wolverine claw) you can turn the cylinder without a key.

Magic seems like it would beat muggles, but it all depends on the individual. Some mutants have powers that aren't that useful, like the kid with the blue tongue. Take Jonah the kid who turned tv channels, how is that power supposed to be helpful in a fight? 11:04 Kurt is well beloved amongst the fandom. It still hits hard and not subtle at all to us. The 'have you try not be a mutant?', that same sentence still happened, just replacing 'mutant' with 'gay'. Imagine your own home is not the safest place and your own family call the police to come get you just because of who you are. It is and still terrify.

Thank you for the reaction! This is the first X-Men movie I've ever seen! I couldn't wait for that Wolverine ability, that claw! And I remembered that I dissappointed at first, because I thought that Wolverine wouldn't use that ability, cause when I saw his hands, his hands don't have that "place" to release his claws. I mean like in the cartoon and the animation Wolverine has that to be a place when his claws are released (I'm sure someone here know what I mean :). Up until that "attacking prof'X school scene, when Wolvie releases his claws in this movie for the first time, when he attacked those Stryker's soldiers. I finally knew that in movie versions, his claws are released through the space between his fingers! And that was supercool to me to see that! Wolverine does have claws!!!! And maybe in comics version there are many interpretations or images that Wolverine's claws are released the same as in the movie, between his fingers, but It just me who don't know haha. And yeah! Wolverine's hair is supercool to watch. I remembered, I really wanted to have a hairstyle like that, when I was a kid and after watching this movie!
