That seemed liked such a nice day out in nature and seeing all of the sea lions and sea birds! I love watching them and could watch all day. The town seems very cute and easy to get around. The town doesn't seem too busy for it being peak season! The food looked pretty yummy and lots of options for food around town. What a cool experience!

The benefit to Ushuaia being at the end of the world means people have to make quite an effort to get there so it's not too busy, it's such a cool place with Patagonian mountains surrounding the small city!

Hey guys, you all had a beautiful day for a boat ride on the channel 🙌 the views of the water ...and mountains 🥰 Aww I loved seeing all the seals and birds. The noises that they make are funny 😆 The price of the tour was really reasonable! Thank goodness for the Marine Biologist...I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between the seals and sea lions. It was really cool to see more of the town, there were some very interesting buildings..like that bank!

We still can’t believe our luck getting weather like this so close to Antarctica, we were prepared for way worse weather than we experienced. The marine biologist was great, we just thought they were all seals until she told us! 😅

Look at those seals they are so adorable - hahah except the smell, hahaha! I really enjoyed the way you edited it, you two captures some stunning nature moments. It really seems like a peaceful to be out there. I also feel guilty about eating carbs but seem like you had a lot of outdoor adventure - so don't worry about it! :) OMG penguin island next!

The seals/sea lions were so entertaining! Thank you, yes it's difficult not too eat all the carbs and feel like a bloated seal here! 😂

The original End of the World Lighthouse is now conserved in the Museo Marítimo de Ushuaia, in the former prison of Ushuaia. A replica is in the original place, San Juan de Salvamento in Isla de los Estados (Staten island). The Museo Marítimo de Ushuaia is very nice to seen. The prisoners built a small railroad to bring wood for working in the workshops and for cooking and heating. The original tracks, locos and carriages have been restored and can be used to visit the National Park Tierra del Fuego, another very good place to see. The place you see is a shopping mall using the thematic of the Prison. The Prison itself is in the eastern part of the city and is a very big and old building. While you are in Ushuaia you should taste the King Crab (centolla in Spanish).
@TideKnotTravellers2 жыл бұрын
We have just visited Tierra del Fuego National park and loved the train journey, fascinating taking the route the prisoners travelled along to bring wood back to make things. The park itself is beautiful (we're working on this video next)

Thank you so much for taking us thru end of world, which seems beginning of some culture n world, with spacious setting. What was this prisoner museum all about? Do people import consumable or they have lotsa growing season? Thank you folks n have good day.

Love your videos ! I have watched the whole of Argentina's chapter and loved them ! You were amazingly lucky weatherwise ! the original HMS Beagle, carrying Captain Fitz Roy and a still unknown Charles Darwin, had to struggle for a complete month against wind and tide before they managed to enter the bay that is now Ushuaia !
@TideKnotTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! We read about that inside the Ushuaia museum and said again that we feel so lucky with the sunny and mild weather we’ve been having. Learning about their voyage has been an eye opener!

Exelente video! Las construcciones de estilo inglés que se ven se deben a las misiones anglicanas que exploraron y desarrollaron Tierra del Fuego.

On the way to the Chilean Antarctic Territory is the Chilean Islands Diego Ramírez Lighthouse, past the end of the American continent and more than 130 km south of the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse in Argentina. It is one of the stormiest areas in the world. Its crew of lighthouse keepers changes every 6 months and the lighthouse shows a significant sign that indicates "The Southernmost Lighthouse in the World".

Hello! What do you mean official & unofficial rate? What’s unofficial rate? 🤔 Thanks!
@TideKnotTravellers Жыл бұрын
Hello Valentina, it is the Blue dollar rate (or the rate obtained via cash usually at Western Union) in comparison to the official rate, it is around half. We made a video about it here to help other people travelling to Argentina: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKWYd4Zribp0nrs&feature=shares
@valentinawalentina9836 Жыл бұрын
@@TideKnotTravellers Thank you for responding! Also, it’s better to change cash by western union?
@TideKnotTravellers Жыл бұрын
@@valentinawalentina9836 you can either bring USD in cash and change it at one of the many Cambio places that are everywhere. Or if you don’t have USD then yes Western Union is the only option.
