My personal impression on the conflict: I think it allways remains a bit difficult with too many layers and events in this conflict. Like many Jews had no own place and no safe space or suffered persecution while their ancesters and spirituality is based on this land. The Palestianes have been an established people living there for many centruries and the other arabs did not accept them either. Both sides have reasonalbe needs and claims on the land. I think the core is a philosophical conflict between the idea of self-determanation of the people and the idea of equality of the people, what makes it so hard to solve. Now the Palestians suffer problably the most of the conflict, why many call for their equality and wonder about emerging racism in Israel. On the other hand the claim of the lefty antiracist movements is a double standard because most Palestinian leaders make antisemtitic statements or never integrated a percentage of Jews like Israel did with its Arabs population, what makes a reasonable cohabition difficult. In addition, the history of antisemitism made the Zionist Jews so scared about living as a minority. A one state solution might is not reasonable due to violance and the conflict between equality and self-determination, the two state solution failed at camp David and it didn't went better afterwards. I think both groups need a new goverment of a new generation to solve things, that can balance safty, equality, and the historical experiances. Well made and lovely animated. I think the videos explained Israel a bit better than Palestine, but the approach was very good. I missed a bit the mentioning of the more insane massacres between the groups in the early conflict e.g. Hebron 1929 or Deir Yasin 1948.

This is by far the most objective series of videos documentary on the subject of the Palestinian/Israeli question I've seen on KZbin. Once you remove religious influence of a producer you can get an unbiased untarnished analysis on the subject. This was exactly what I was looking for in order to better understand this ongoing violent conflict. Thanks.

I watched all of your 15 episodes and you done a good job narrating facts but in my opinion you took Israeli side (for example: you didn't mention anything about haganah gangs & others killing, rapping, and kicking :civilians, the land owners and non armed people to claim the land for the Jews alone) so it's not fair to take sides if you want to be just and honest Critcalthinker

I'm sure there is a lot that was left out but that's understandable considering the length of this series. Never the less, the most important points of history were presented to my satisfaction. This was a kind of synopsis for a more in-depth study which is mentioned at the end of each chapter.

They didn't discuss the execution of Israeli prisoners of war by Syria and Egypt in the 1973 war. Your side committed PLENTY of atrocities. Do you object to the fact this series shows the Palestinians have turned down every peace deal with Israel? And that the series shows the Palestinians rejected partition in 1947. The truth hurts doesn't it.

Thank you for the excellent series. It is great to have so much valuable information presented so coherently. My one criticism is that it does feel like you lean toward Israel's side, so you might consider including more information -- such as the riots and massacres on each side, and the role of revisionist zionism and the Irgun and Lehi.

@@rawanq8740 I'm an atheist and I agree with you to an extent. If it was that simple. The issue is - populations have been wiped out or infiltrated/replaced so many times over history, it cannot work that way. We cannot trace back to original habitants and say 'have this back'. I think now that we have 'mostly' passed primitive times, the past is the past and it's best left as that. Any nation now, whether resulting from an invasion or otherwise, should stand - if those nations have built the land to what it is now. Meaning, all the labour and expense of creating infrastructure, employment, social systems etc. Why should some people who once were primitives have rights to get back a land infinitely more developed than it ever was at their time of reign?

A Roman leadership (if you will) should take over all the land of Jordan, West Bank, Lebanon, Gaza, Golan, and all other places who wish to kill people for land in that area. Also take the political leadership of Israel. Now anyone who fights, fights against Rome and will be answered back in force. All land will be shared and all peoples will get along. The people in these areas only respect a strong hand so the World community needs to appoint that hand and give them the power and freedom to be what they need to be all the while overseeing and limiting expansion. This is the path to Revelation's words, your welcome. Yes, I know how it all ends and in one way, as long as all this turmoil is allowed to happen, the longer we will exist the way we currently do.

I don't know. It was wrong from the start. Arabs and Jews and Christians lived side by side there in peace for centuries. When the Middle East was to be divided Arabs who lived there wanted to govern the land, living side to side with the Jews already there, they didn't want anyone out. But Jews wanted to come into the land from other part of the world and make it theirs. Ever since the world is trying to fix a mistake by more doing more mistakes. You can't find peace unless you untangle the main knot instead of trying to fix it to another shape.

They didn't came to share the land They came to kick out the indigenous Palestinians from their homes and replace them with only Jews! Is that okay with U? FYI, Arab Jews were living with Christians and Muslims in harmony in Palestine before the Zionists came. All Muslims, Jews, Christians or atheists there have the right to get equal treat whatever their race, religion, ethnicity, color are. Zionists instead made a majority state where one ethnic group (Jews) is privileged over another! Isn't that Racism, Injustice, and Inhumane?!

Jerusalem has nothing Holy to Islam!! The Al Aqsa mosque was not named or built until 70 years after Muhammed's death. They pretend that thst mosque (that was not named or built yet, was the al Aqsa mosque in the Quran) The Real al Aqsa mosque is in Ji'irrana, Saudi Arabia near Taif. Its written about in early Arabic sources as the mosque that Muhammed often prayed in. The only reason the Muslims want Jerusalem is because the it is so important to Jews.
