The only things that belong between the thermostat and condenser should be high/low pressure switches and a float safety switch.

But then how can we charge you more for useless crap that easily breaks and costs and arm and leg to replace? And how can they force techs to be "trained" and only allow said "trained" techs who pay them to work on said equipment?

It’s like the city electric company blocking electricians from upgrading panels and doing half their job

that looks like the(reactor) noise filter(torodal inductor) installed on the incoming Line power, before it goes into the inverter drive. Washers, refrigerators, minisplit, and even brushless tools use them. It needs to become a prerequisite before selling a customer an inverter driven system, if there are known power surge, brown out or excessive supply line noise. Don't install one of these! i wouldn't be surprised if special power filtering requirements come about as well as dedicated ground requirements for these unit. I would look into installing single phase load reactors on these.

Yeah, if I saw this out in the field I’d tell the customer good luck and have a nice day 😅

yep, it is very good for environment saving 1 watt of power and having to throw away air conditioners every 5 years my 1999 unit is still running perfectly no issues before all this ridiculous crap and mine is still up to their standards at 14 seer in PA

It's crazy how manufactures put all these circuit boards in a unit that's outside. Place your laptop computer in that unit and you would be lucky to get a couple months before it fails. Things never have to be this complex. That system is plain garbage.
@gabrielstern49923 ай бұрын
@@josephbosack4408 except if you got a good quality laptop that will last longer than this trane will. But build your own desktop is the way to go. And even with state of the art stuff it's still lasts longer and, works better than these overpriced garbage. And yes you can get inverter technology that lasts without breaking the bank. Too bad you have to get one from a, Japanese company or south Korean company or Chinese con any but thets America for you always about bieng to greedy and proprietary. VS Inovation VS quality and even competition. The recording industry of America did it to music along with Steve Jobs then did it to Ota TV and recording equipment now hvac a disgrace. They should be rained in by the government. Not pushing junk on people I understand regulation but greed is unacceptable just to skirt the system. Or take advantage of people these American companies know what they are doing they don't care.

I got a Trane / American Standard too. Do not recommend. An HVAC tech that came out could not get a hold of tech support either. I'm going to replace it with a regular single speed unit.

@@myHVAClife 100%. All my salesman does is try to push me to sell those Gree/Airtemp side discharge inverter heat pumps made in China. No thank you I’ve put two in. I’m not putting any more in. Three large circuit boards in the outdoor unit one in the indoor unit. And I only put mini splits in where I have to.

They are not just sitting behind a desk and computer. They are also sitting in front of a spreadsheet. They know what every single item costs and they are doing whatever they can to maximize profit by refusing everything but the absolutely necessary replacements. As in no two ways about it, and it won't operate a day longer with an alternate repair.

I miss the days when I was young and stuff was made to last until you die. Today everything is made to fail and you have no real options. Then the same companies creating these dumpster products lecture me about driving or eating a hamburger saying I need to "fight climate change".. My local dump has so many new products just piled up because everything brakes and is made expensive to repair by these same dam companies. Sick of it.
