Hey Kevin, this video is really an excellent tutorial using a very common real-world system configuration. My organization uses a very similar configuration and I feel that this tutorial would be extremely valuable for new IT members.

Hey kev! Once again, fantastic videos! I'm trying to use them to learn enough to get my foot in the door for a first IT job. Do you have any recommendations for what order to watch them in? I'm not even sure how to install a server on my computer to play around in atm 😅

I'm curious about something If I may ask. When I went on interviews, and was asked if I had any questions, I asked what the layout was like, in other words, what type of operating systems were they working with, i.e. windows xp, windows 7, windows 8, windows 10 (these are just examples) or was it just a mixture? I would ask how much data was coming off of the backbone of the internet and various servers. I got a lot of very confused looks from various interviewers. Should I not ask those questions in the future? I got the impression from them that by asking that kind of question, that I should be versed in all operating system, not just one type. Which I am. Still. I don't know maybe I'm not making any sense, but it's just something I've noticed, going on interviews

hey Kev I got a question, if I just study KZbin and couple courses on Udemy about active directory and put some other skills on the resume, will that help get a job? with no certs?
@KevtechITSupport

depends where you live but I seen people get jobs in IT without any certs or degree on my discord. I have a resume video for new techs and how to use my videos to land a job in tech. The video is this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3fSmKadi9Ojeq8

Hi Kev.Regarding the mailbox,can we add any email address to exchange server like gmail,yahoo and make it as a reply email or does it have to be the domain connected only
@KevtechITSupport

Domain only, you would create contacts to use external emails.

Why server 2016 instead of 2019?
@KevtechITSupport
@KevtechITSupport 3 жыл бұрын
Because most places are still using 2016. Server 2019 gpo is different but there pretty much similar. I'm going based on the job market, everyone is asking for server 2012r2 and 2016. Msp companies look at 2019 since they like to be up to date.
