For those wondering what happened to the eval bar at the end ! At 9:22 I've just looked it up, with engine because it's really not simple ! The best move for black (and only winning move) was Bc2 ! And in the game after Rf2 it's equal if white finds Rb8+ Kf7 Rb2 The check is important because the king on f7 blocks the bishop from coming back to e8 and h5. And the rook on g2 defends the knight on e2 AND prevents the bishop from rerouting by controlling both c2 and b5 ! The knight is pinned and white can't allow the bishop to pressure it or it will be lost ! Also there is a point to make about Rb8+ Be8 ( black can try this to force the rook out of play) Rxe8 Kf7 Rb8 Rxe2 Qf1+ Kg6 Rb1, white rooks comes back just in time and it's also an equal endgame 😂😂 That's because of that incredible defense that Bc2 first was the only winning move ! Going to play Bd3 and Rf2, white is defenseless (has to lose a piece, or get mated at some point)! Even it's not that simple there too ! Very interesting position, you can still analyse this on your own if interested !

Thank you ! Do you know why white lost so much by taking the pawn on B7 at 8:09 ?
@maximepoca9396Ай бұрын
@@ronthal This I think Anna showed it during the game ! After Qe3+ Kh2, Ba4 was very strong, saving your bishop and attacking the queen, and the bishop can't be captured because of back ranks problems! Black was able to grab the initiative and improving while making threats ! And then that Bc2 was the killer, but Rf2 was enough in the game as Rb8+ Rb2 was not easy to see (maybe not that hard to see, but hard to understand that it somehow holds everything and that it's equal)

Sometimes I wonder how good Anna would be if she wasn’t brought up by two GM’s tbh. We’ll never know. Probably good but I have to I’m superimpressed how people nowadays find chess on their own and become so good completely self taught. The fact that I see so many young people on this channel being so good who seemingly are self taught is so impressive to me. I wish I knew more about their background and how they found chess. That’s my favorite part of this channel. Maybe shows like the queens gambit inspired a few people too.

@@maximepoca9396 Thanks! I did think of Bc2, but then got stuck with the follow-up. If the black rook was moved, I was worried about perpetual checks from the white rook, then if the white knight moved, the white queen might continue the perpetual checking, but I didn't realise that Rb2 would stop the queen moving.

This is fen number of what happens if she moved Bishop second time instead of rook. Mere 44 moves later... 8/8/8/3p1kp1/3P4/2K5/r7/2q5 w - - 2 44 black wins. (I leave for your analysis why was critically important to move Bishop second time before moving rook.) I actually suspect Pia said to her. There is charming young man who you should play, and Anna was moved to table like a pig for a slaughter. She's lucky she has experience with playing last 30 moves under 2 minutes because of her "time management during play". Ethon not, thus he lost.

Hi Anna! Great game! Didnt undersrand why did he resign... I mean... Couldnt he move his Queen to F1? And then if you check his King with the Rookie in E1, he could just move his King to H2... Off course he would lose his Queen, but, he still had a Rookie... I mean... It would be an awful loss, 'cause it would be a Rookie, a Bishop and a Queen against a Rookie and Pawns... Hahahaha!! And then you would check his King with your Queen in F4, and it would be an annooooying check sequence... But maybe a Miracle could happen and he could win😂 Hahahaha anyway, just kidding here! It would really be a lost game for him, anyway hahaha!! PS: I would love to play a non rated chess match with you! I don't understand. Why didn't he just move his queen to A1 to threaten Anna's bishop, but also to ensure Anna's queen could not take position on the back row while also buying time to move his rook to B1. By then, Anna would have moved her bishop out of harms way, but the checkmate crisis would have been averted, and with both his queen and rook on the backrow, neither Anna's bishop or queen could take a position there. Or am I just missing something simple? Surely these players are ridiculously talented so I must be missing the reason he didn't do that.

1. Qa1 Rf2 2. Rb1 Qe2 you lose the knight. If you wanna take bishop 3. Qa4 Rf1+ 4. Rf1 Qf1# checkmate If you don't take the bishop, the black rook is gonna take g2 and h2 pawns and checkmates. If you go Rb2 1. Qa1 Rf2 2. Rb2 Re2 3. Re2 Qe2 then black exchanges queens on d1 check. Black wins with her bishop.
