one of my top 5 eps. I've rewatched it so many times. Charlie did a pretty decent job of explaining the scam though he got a few parts reversed. The scam would be to use the credit card to purchase the steaks thus accruing airline miles on the card. Then contaminate the steaks so they can be returned and the money returned to the credit card but still retaining the airline miles. Those airline miles can then be exchanged for cash. We used to do something similar in Vegas years ago. There'd be a promotion where if you gambled x amount of money, you'd accrue enough points on your player's card to get something like a full week say all expenses paid for you and your family. I'd partner up with a friend with each of us having the same bankroll. We'd then go to the roulette table and bet against each other so if one of us would lose, the other would win. We'd continue until one of us accrued the desired amount of points, split the money back up to the 2 of us and then cash in the points for both of our families.

I love this episode so much. Charlie is the heart and soul of the bar. Charlie also confirms that the CO2 is at dangerous levels, which backs a fan theory that the reason the gang continues to get more and more crazy each season and with plans is because they have all been being CO2 poisoned for years. 😂

Crazy how this episode basically came out around the same time as the oscar winner movie Birdman and it has a lot of similarities. The camera work with one shot style, frank going around the bar half naked, the soundtrack, the chaotic environment. Must havebeen on purpose for sure

Apparently the guys were unaware of Birdman at the time they filmed this episode. They were actually inspired by an episode of True Detective that used a long single shot throughout the episode. It's also why Dennis is doing a Matthew McConaughey impression.

This is an airtight episode. Charlie working his ass off is brilliant, obviously. I know it’s a Birdman riff, but to me it always reads like Home Alone for adults But every little side story is also so funny. Mac and Denis bitching over credit, Frank flushing his stuff, Dee being a goddamn bitch… all truly solid bits.

I enjoy watching your reactions 🙂 I’m curious if maybe I missed an explanation or inside joke in one of your videos but I’m wondering if there’s a reason you yell at the beginning of each video. (“It’s TIME!”) If it’s there for a reason for it that’s important or part of your brand, carry on and I’ll just try to remember to mute to the beginning. If you’re not aware that it’s really startling and a little offputting for the first sentence to be a yell, I left this comment for empathy. (Of course I don’t feel entitled to an intro I like; I’m just giving feedback and completely understand if you choose to disregard it. I may be the only one startled by it.) Yes, I do understand that Sunny has much yelling but I expect it there and it makes sense for the characters. I don’t understand it in the intro of these videos in particular as it scares me and seems out of place.
